I made a baby blanket for a pregnant woman at work and I went back and forth about it like “is this weird? To like hand make something for someone when we’re like friendly acquaintances not like bffs. God why are you so fucking awkward.” Anyway I gave it to her and she said she loved it and in the back of my head I’m like yea she’s nice and probably just humoring the weirdo. Well she texted me a picture this weekend of a scrunchy faced newborn at the hospital wrapped in the blanket I made her. And I’m like. Wow. She loved it so much she took it with her! To the hospital! To give birth! She wrapped her newborn it! I am just so filled with love and joy right now.
People will love the things you make them. Because you thought of them and you cared.

Random thought: I think it would be really fun to date someone who was into cosplaying and making costumes, you know? They could dress me up in whatever little outfits when they wanted me to attend something with them and I'd get to be a walking piece of my partner's beautiful artwork as well as some character people would probably want to punch in the face and that just seems rad.

terrifies me that there are teenagers that think they're horrible, irredeemable people who are better off being alone because they're destined to abuse the people they care for. like the fact that you actively want to keep these people safe means you're not too far gone. it's so scary to see them give up on themselves despite being so young. you can get better. you can unlearn your old toxic behavior. you aren't a lost cause. this goes for anyone, regardless of age. it's never to late to improve
