I do want to do more work on the Scribes design but I think in gen I'm gonna do some other courtier designs to try to figure out the look of the court & via that the look of the people & country. It's gotten pretty far from what attilios stuff originally was- more couture than historically accurate.

Had the fleeting impulse to make it a colder climate but tbh Attilio is and will always be sun alligned & warm. I will draw him huddled up in furs on some trip if i want that.

Okiokioki sooo. I will say w Attilio this time- he's quite worldly and had he more energy he would probably have a LOT of hobbies. The ones he has are collecting related.

However he has a strong fondness for complex board games (if he lived in modern days he woulf be a massive board game & tabletop rpg geek tbh). He loves learning the rules and learning how to accomplish things within those rules, and at points how to stretch them and bend them without breaking them.

However a weird thing of his is that he LOVES letting others win. Not always, and he provides a challenge every time to make it satisfying. And of course sometimes he looses without meaning to (hes a little more annoyed about these times tbh! If you know him well you can learn to pick up on when he lost on purpose and when not, from rly subtle cues in his mannerisms). This is simply because he just likes seeing people exited & feeling good about themselves.

As for discovery- it was simpler when he himself was young. He played them with his mother, tutors, etc- anyone who gave him the time.

However when growing older, Attilio most likely kind of forgot his beloved games for a while? Just being busy, mostly.

But!! Im gonna focus on the REdiscovery of a hobby. Bc i think it came back via his daughters! I think a tutor or caretaker taught them some simple game and they asked him to play one day, and after that it's become an almost daily pasttime for them. After dinner games / midday games or smth?

(Additionally- the secretary and attilio do also play together. They learned it for Attilio, and are one of the only people who have learned that he has a weird thing for loosing on purpose. They've turned this into a game together- both of them trying to fuck up the game as a sign of affection.)

(This does not happen w Attilios daughters btw theyre absolutely ruthless lol)

Between work scribbles trying 2 grind out a design for this one character :D they're a type of a highly trained "secretary" to the emperor. Slightly a self insert bc im a thirsty thirsty flower for my own ocs lol. In short, they were just supposed to be someone who follows Attilio around and documents him & his word, but they ended up developing a weird. Friendship? Mutual devotion with uncertain terms? UNDERSTANDING. And they've kinda started to subtly replace/outshine his regular advisors. Which has pissed a lot of people off. Im addicted 2 thinking about the advisors little spies slowly starting to come talk w them too, and slowly with them instead of the advisors etc. Which in fact is a little strange since they're quite soft and slowly prolly start 2 go mad w the preassure placed on them, as they see they're enabling Attilios soft side which they see as good, but also understand that it might lead to his downfall.

Ughhh the scribe isn't supposed 2 infulence attilio in any way so. No expressions no side eyes, and attilio ofc is like trained 2 not pay attention to anyonr like that but. Him slowly starting to pick up on cues... ughhh one day him glancing towards the scribe after asking for opinion instead of his advisors... imagine the fucking drama bro.... i mean he would turn to look at the advisors calmly but Everyone would know. Also the amount of fine clothes and jewelery he would give to them. Obviously. Patients usually actually ask for copies- within this world, surgery etc is less of a grossout to people and they want the documentation for their family video albums etc.

Miulus specialty is in biotech and prosthetics/additional mechanical parts Their practice is mostly based in servicing the cyborgs of the city, but they won't turn you away if you have a cold etc. They in fact like a bit of change of pace from time to time.
