Guatavita – A Fascinating Town on the Colombia Andes
Guatavita – one of my favourite towns. It is not far away from Bogotá. I would recommend the route through Sesquilé. The distance from Bogotá to Sesquilé is 58 km and from Sesquilé to the New Guatavita town, 21 km. If you drive straight through, it will take you a little over an hour and 30 minutes. I would however recommend a short stop at Sesquilé.  You may find the names of several towns in…

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - January 22, 2019: When the multi-million dollar Dubai Water Canal was created, it became necessary for bridges to be built on Shk Zayed Road to go over the Water Canal. Image shows the modern bridges that were constructed. A few decades ago there was only a desert road here, with sand on either side of the road. The bridge to the right carries the elevated railway track for Dubai Metro. The one to the left, carries all 8 lanes of road traffic between the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Under the bridge is a parking lot. To the right is the head office of Emirates Holidays and an EPPCO Petrol StationImage shot in the morning sunlight on clear day with blue skies. — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2ZZk3G4

It is commonly seen around the Capital City and other parts of the Andes and seems to thrive with little care or attention.
