“…man, Spiderman.” The masked hero corrected. “That guy has friends?-Sorry that was rude wasn’t its?” He looked at his hands, “weapons? Knida-I mean I kinda just hit usually-I’ve got webs-I’m pretty handy like that. Though, you’d be surprised how good I am at talking things out.”
Tumblr media
Chuck just snorted at that. “Not many.” He glanced back at a shuffling crowd down the street; slow, but moving in their direction. “Webs, huh? Might want to get those ready, because I don’t think they’re here to chat.”

“Spiderkid, right? Chuck Greene. I’m a friend of Frank’s.” ‘Friend’ was probably a strong term-- they were more reluctant allies-- but that wasn’t important. He looked the kid up and down; Frank said he had superpowers, but still. “You got a weapon, kid? Zombies aren’t fans of talking it out.”

part-of-spectre-six:
“Do I have to give you my full name? I mean- none of my family members share my last name…” Ezra asked, before pausing for a moment. His family would be looking for an Ezra Bridger…. “My full name is Ezra Bridger.”
“Thanks,” Ezra took the leg, holding it almost like a bat. He wondered briefly on how Hera would feel about him smashing zombies, but he realized that he couldn’t kill a zombie with this mannequin leg. “Lead the way… I guess….”
Tumblr media
“Keep an eye out, okay kid? If we see your family, we’ll take them back too.” He just hoped they hadn’t turned-- for the kid’s sake. If he could keep another family from being destroyed by this virus, that was worth the risk.
At least zombies were slow; once you knew what you were doing they were less of a risk. Still, better to take the safer route. He led Ezra into a nearby shop, pulling the grate off of one of the air vents. “Zombies don’t use the vents, so this is a safe way back.” He moved to boost him up to the vent.

“Honey, listen to me. We made it this far. I will not stop until you’re safe. Nothing is more important than that. You understand?”

part-of-spectre-six:
“Yeah, Hera, Kanan, Sabine, Zeb, and our annoying as hell dog, Chopper.” He figured the other would find it a little weird that he addresses his parental figures by their first names… but that’s how it was in his family. Ezra frowned at the mention of a safehouse. His birth parents were in a safe house with him when they were turned… he shook those thoughts from his head. “Okay… what’s… what’s your name? I’m Ezra.”
Tumblr media
A dog? If they brought their dog here, either they were obsessive pet owners, or it was a service dog, neither of which were good possibilities in this situation. “Chuck Greene.” Hopefully he hadn’t been following the news, or they might have an issue.
Chuck glanced around for anything that could be remotely used as a weapon, before landing on a store mannequin. He snapped one of the legs off, handing it to the kid. “Here.” It wouldn’t be nearly strong enough to completely stop a zombie; but, it would knock them away enough to keep moving.

part-of-spectre-six:
Ezra nodded slowly, eyes wide. “I-I-I- Y-yeah… I’m okay,” He finally managed to get out. “Thank you.” Ezra took a deep shaky breath and hugged his knees, glancing at the dead bodies. Hera, Kanan, Zeb, or Sabine were not among these dead, good. “I got separated from my family…” he said quietly.
Tumblr media
“Your family?” At least they hadn’t turned-- not that he had seen, apparently. It only took Chuck about five minutes to find Katey after the outbreak started, and each moment was full of worry; he could imagine what this kid’s parents were going through. “Listen, I can help you. There’s a safe house, I can take you there. Then we can figure out where your family went.”

Wait, was that... That’s a kid up there! “Stay right there! I’ve got you!” Luckily, the sledge-axe-- axehammer? Come up with a clever name later-- did a lot for thinning out the herd that had formed around the boy’s perch. Once there was room to breathe, Chuck pulled himself up. “You alright?”

So this post is pretty informal because this muse is pretty informal and I’m trying to get a feel for it/whether I even want to do this, but who wants to interact with the zombie-slaying father of the year, Chuck Greene, of Dead Rising 2 fame? (This is a sideblog for now, btw, I’ll be following back from rebelresolve.)
