Beetroot Halwa! One of the most mouthwatering Indian sweet dish & very simple dish to make. Ingredients.
Beetroot, Desi Ghee, one cup milk, raisins & dry fruits, sugar, cinnamon powder.
Preparation:
Grate the beetroot. Add them to a kadai , mix it well with ghee, that was already being heated in the kadai. Add milk, cinnamon powder. Mix everything well and heat in a low flame with close lid for few minutes till grated beetroot absorbs the milk and it turns dark reddish golden color. Open and stir again.
Serve with dry fruits as toppings.
And the yummy Beetroot Halwa is ready! :)

Biryani, one of the mouthwatering dishes that almost all Indians can never go without eating! It has been one of my all time favorite food too, but pot biryani has been something unique I’ve experienced so far. The last time I had biryani served in an earthen pot was in Dubai at one of my relatives place and since then, had been craving for it in India as well. I looked up in Google and came across a couple of restaurants, but chose to try the restaurant named “Birista” that serves Biryani only in earthen pots. Oh, wait, let me first tell you what exactly is a Biryani? - Basmati rice cooked with all the indian spices for flavours, inclusive of veggies, onion -tomatoes with an option to include cottage cheese and meat as per each ones preference. This variety of rice recipe sealed in an earthen pot is our very own ‘Pot Biryani’. The most interesting part of this dish is a soft fluffy bread covering on t#op like a lid to keep the flavours and aroma of the dish intact. The bread is made of white wheat flour adding on to a name of this dish as ‘a pot with a lid’. This dish is best served with ‘raita’ - a chilled yogurt with cucumber and onions. What’s so special with the traditional earthen pot you may think? I’m sure your try on this will give you an answer!
