something I actually really liked about last nights episode is that it forced us to recognize for really the first time in the entire series that the venture boys are in fact snooty rich kids
They really haven’t had to work for anything in their lives.
Sure Rusty told Hank, “you either go to school or get a job” but what are the actual consequences if he doesn’t get a new job. Hank’s privilege even allows him to do things like Hank Co and make even more money on the side.
The scene where Dean pays off The Monarch really made the audience take a step back for the first time and say, “huh, these are actually some really spoiled brats.”
I could see this turning in to a pretty big character point with Dean specifically and I REALLY hope they expand on that part of the character more in the next season and a half- it could be hella interesting.
