Discovery
Description: Ellie makes an interesting discovery about Joel and refuses to let him live it down.
Warnings: very mild description of a wound, swearing

"Could you help me with this? I can't reach."
Joel lifts the hem of his shirt and twists, craning his neck to look at his lower back. He can see the gash from his earlier fall well enough in his periphery to know that it needs a good cleaning, and to be covered ASAP. Ellie saunters over to join Joel on the couch, plopping a first aid kit down between them.
"You should really try watching where you step," she quips, rummaging through the first aid box.
"I really don't need this from you right now."
Joel sighs and leans against the back of the couch on one elbow. He hisses in pain as Ellie dumps an unnecessary amount of alcohol over his wound.
"A warning would've been nice," he grunts.
"Soo-rry," she responds, her tone less than convincing.
She's less delicate than Joel would've liked as she cleans the cut and stops the bleeding, but she gets the job done and rambles as she goes so he has something to focus on besides the dull sting of pain.
"Are you almost done?"
"Yes, geez! I'm not a doctor," Ellie shoots back.
She presses gauze over the wound and begins to meticulously lay strips of adhesive over it to keep it in place. As her fingers smooth the end of a piece around Joel's side, something odd happens. The man's entire body reacts, jerking away from the touch. Joel awkwardly shifts his seating position a bit in a quick attempt to cover up the irregular movement, but Ellie doesn't miss it.
"Did that hurt?" She prods her fingers into his lower side again, and before he can help himself, he jolts and gasps, grabbing Ellie's wrist. They both freeze, and he shoots her a tentative look from over his shoulder. A smile starts to creep across Ellie's face.
"Are you ticklish?" Her voice drips with astonishment.
"No," Joel answers far too sternly, far too quickly. The way his grip tightens on Ellie's wrist at her question makes her start to giggle.
"Are you suuure?"
Ellie wastes no time beating around the bush. Her free hand shoots out and latches onto Joel's side, rapidly squeezing the skin just above his hip.
"Ellie!"
Joel barks out her name and convulses like he's been electrocuted. Ellie commits and throws her weight into him, shoulder checking him into the couch cushions while still pinching his sides at every possible chance. He scrambles to right himself, but he's sandwiched between the arm of the couch and Ellie's side, and the jolts of ticklish electricity shooting up his spine are fighting for control over his muscles. He's losing the battle quickly.
"ELLIE! FUCKIN' STOHOP-! STOP!"
No matter how Joel twists and shoves, Ellie's stupid little hands are able to worm their way back to his torso like leeches. Joel bargains with his brain and nervous system in this moment, pleading with them, whatever it takes, just please don't let him go down like this. He clenches his jaw and forces his face into a scowl. Unfortunately, Ellie's stubbornness challenges his own, and in a moment of opportunity she jams both of her hands into his armpits. His features melt into a smile despite his best efforts to prevent it.
"Gahad dammihit! ELLIHIE! F- fuckin- sTAHAhaha-!"
Actual, genuine giggles begin to swallow Joel's words as Ellie persistently worms her fingers around underneath his clamped arms. She's grinning like a kid in a candy store. It might be the most gleeful Joel has ever seen her, which seems fitting to be in response to his own demise. She chases after the playfulness that's shining through the cracks, refusing to let it slip away so soon.
"No fuckin' way," she chortles. "This is amazing!"
Joel is laughing in earnest now: wheezy, gravelly laughter that tumbles out of him as if he's trying to catch it before it can. His arms are clamped tightly to his sides, leaving him with a T-rex range of motion to defend himself with. Ellie won't stop clawing under his arms, and he can hear himself squeaking out noises that no self-respecting adult man should make. He can't believe his dignity is being dismantled by a child.
"Ahalrihight, shihihit! Enohohough!"
With one twist in the wrong direction, Joel topples entirely off the couch, bringing Ellie down with him. He lays his head back on the floor and catches his breath as she continues to cackle next to him, clutching her sides.
"Oh, that was awesome. You are never living that down. Ever. You better not piss me off now," she pokes Joel in the stomach, falling back into a giggle fit when he flails and smacks her away.
"You pull that again and you're getting strangled," he pants. Ellie laughs even harder, and, okay, maybe that's worth the humiliation.
"Yeah, I'm definitely scared of you now," she says, standing up and offering a hand to Joel.
She yelps when he instead snatches her wrist.
"You didn't think I wasn't gonna get revenge, did you?"

As a ler:
Okay first off, he’s MEAN. Don’t expect mercy from him.
The pink goop that leaks from his mask basically acts like a smaller, non sentient 999, wherever it lands it delivers a buzzing, ticklish sensation.
When possessing a victim, he won’t kill them. It basically puts whoever he’s possessing into a ‘dreamscape’, tickling them for as long as he pleases.
Whereas in the real world, he’ll chase down victims to either use tentacles to get the job done, or get his hands dirty and tickle them himself.
Heres a twist, unlike his canon counterpart, the mask acts like a face hugger. If he’s quick enough, he can take it off and either put it onto someone else, or throw it and hope it latches them.
He only really shows mercy if a victim is at a disadvantage, injured leg/arm, or is one of the new staff members.
Doesn’t pick favorite lees staff wise, bros hands are rated E for everyone. But has a favorite anomaly, which is 049. (Though thats not to say the doctor wont get revenge. He always does.)
LOVES doing baby talk, or teasing wherever a lee is ticklish at.
“Oh, what do you mean ‘don’t tickle there’, right here? Thats where you’re talking about, right?”
As a lee
First off, spot wise, it shares across his vessels as long as he’s possessing. The spot being behind the knees.
Curls desperately upon contact, ends up looking like a spring recoiling.
Teases don’t tend affect him, unless you’re teasing him about broadcasting his current state to everyone on staff. THEN you’ll get him flustered lol
Curses you out the whole time, promising revenge, all that jazz.
Light tickles ABSOLUTELY annihilate him. Cannot stand it for a second!
Surprisingly, his neck is a relatively good spot too. Raspberries there are pretty effective.
His laughter can kinda range, wheezy at the start before slowly going to a deep cackle.
If you’re feeling extra mean afterwards, taking a picture of him is a helluva way to knock him down a peg! (He’s got a pretty big ego after all.)
Extra info!
He was found in an old theater within New York on a old clown doll that would apparently, at random, move around and or start giggling at odd hours.
Unlike most anomalies, he doesn’t really need to “eat” laughter like them, it’s more or less a way to boost his energy that sleeping doesn’t fully boost.
Has a love hate relationship with 049, when he isn’t viewing him as an annoyance, he views him as a close friend!
Though as mentioned, he doesn’t have a favorite lee, he does have preferences! He LOVES targeting the more hard shelled doctors, or the more egotistical ones that need knocked down a peg. (Ironic)
Can possess dolls, just prefers not too due to little hands and minimum maneuverability.
