Hector going after some Elk for his activity check this year. He has joined Lightning Empire and just wants to do good by them for taking him in. Big boy is gonna bring back a big ol' Elk for dinner :D Hector isn't a small lion by any means so that's gotta be a BIG Elk he's tracking(it's not just an excuse because I drew the tracks too big. Nope. Not an excuse at all).
It felt nice to draw Hector again. I love him so much and I wish I did more with him but I lack inspiration with his lack of any sort of relationship anymore. Also, Hector is turning 9!

Oops made a ponysona.
Used things from my main fursona in here like the blue eyes and the red, gold, and silver colors. Also my logo is my cutie mark. Tried to make the mane like how my hair is after I wash it; it's pretty curly/wavy. Decided to also make myself fluffy. And the chin fuzz is always a reference to a medical problem I had/have but it was originally how I drew chins on wolves ages ago(my fursona still has a fluffy chin).

It's been ages since I've drawn my fursona. I've done other variations of what I consider my fursona but this specific design is fursona numero uno in my book. She's had the most consistent design out of probably all of my characters and I miss drawing her. I miss a lot of things about this character, especially drawing her with her mate Jetto Kasai. I even designed a pup for them once during school. I'll have to post it at some point; he turned out pretty good.

Finally did a ref for my DnD character Feroxi. He’s a 6’6” Dragonborn Folk Hero Fighter, and he’s only 17 years old(but he’s legally an adult). Poor guy isn’t too comfortable around other races as 90% of the time he’s too intimidating and scared everyone or he’s being insulted literally because of him being a giant walking lizard man. Although when confronted by affection by someone other than another Dragonborn he’s quite confused(he’s encountered this recently by a very gay nobleman who was trying to seduce him because Feroxi slapped him). Poor guy can’t see in the dark either and has to usually hold our Warlock’s hand(or as a joke we say he carries our Gnome Paladin on his shoulders).
Even more poor guy he was mauled by a couple of panthers and received the scar on his shoulder. He’s just not having a good time and is slightly wishing he took Lord Venmo up on his offer.
I figured that he has a raptor claw and his “hair” is more like very thin feathers that look and function more like hair.

Personality/Background:
-During King Sombra's invasion of the Crystal Empire after its reappearance, Shining Armor was hit by a spell that corrupted his horn and made him unable to use magic. These black crystal shards kept their corruption in his system for a while, far after his first child, Flurry Heart, was born. After his wife became pregnant with their second child, the foal was born with black fur much like King Sombra. The young Somnus held no ill will towards anyone though; he was full of love for those around him.
-Shining Armor's distaste for King Sombra left little Somnus slightly neglected. Eventually as he grew older, he began to grow lonely and grew distant from the rest of his family until one day he decided to run away. His departure led him to Ponyville where his Aunt Twilight Sparkle lived and he hid there for months until he was brought to Princesses Celestia and Luna. They took him under their wing for a moment to teach him magic. He never gave his family another thought until they showed up in Canterlot looking for him. Somnus, refusing to leave, told his parents how he felt unloved; that even the Princess of Love did not make him feel cared about all because he happens to have black fur like King Sombra. Once Somnus admitted that he did not want to return because his father hates him, Shining Armor apologizes and admits that he should have been more loving to his son like he had been with his daughter when she was growing up.
-Somnus winds up staying in Ponyville with Twilight and starts learning from the Mane 6 in the ways of the Elements of Harmony, and being taught magic by the royal sisters in Canterlot here and there. Eventually he goes on to become an Ambassador for Foreign Creatures as he has a gift for interacting with them.
Relationships:
-Somnus had a rocky relationship with his father for a good portion of his life. As he grew up, his mother showered him with love and affection but he didn't get much from his father. He learned about King Sombra from his mother after asking why Shining Armor didn't like him and he tried to become more like his father in hopes of earning his love. His training to be like a soldier for his father is what helped him become the strong muscular stallion he grew up to be. Somnus and Flurry Heart were best friend siblings until Somnus left the Crystal Empire. They practiced magic and flying together whenever they could and even got into mischief here and there. Eventually the rocky relationship with his family is fixed but he still prefers Twilight and her friends as his family.
-Twilight Sparkle and her friends take in Somnus and wind up raising him as their own collective child, teaching him about their Elements of Harmony and imprinting him with the desire to continue on that legacy. When he's not off in Canterlot or the Crystal Empire, he's always helping one of them do something.
-Somnus has a minor friendship/mentor in Princess Luna more than he does Princess Celestia. When he ran away from home and Twilight introduced him to the royal sisters, he had some dark thoughts. Luna helped keep those thoughts away by explaining her dark past to him. He sometimes comes to her at night for a chat to help keep his spirits up when he is feeling down.
Notes:
-Somnus likes to sing and dance to himself when he's bored
-Applejack is his favorite of the Mane 6.
-Used to wear his hair like King Sombra's on accident(can be drawn with it)
-Was once a solider guard in Canterlot but became an Ambassador when other creatures would visit and had problems.
-Is referred to as very handsome like his relative Vladimir Blueblood. Many try and court him at balls and galas.

They wound up wanting to keep 4 of the created designs instead of choosing 1. I get an extra headshot picture of the design I am receiving in return for these. I was given other monster/creature images before I started as well as moodboards for colors to get an idea of what they liked.

Noctis is a pretty affectionate Roh which did cause him problems long ago until he met Lucius. So when his man gives his walking pillow a kiss first, he's always quite shocked and giddy. Look at him Lucius, you made his eyes do the cat thing he's really happy.
I haven't drawn these two together before so it's time I remedy that.

I may or may not have been watching My Little Pony a lot lately and I may or may not have wanted to see a big ol’ thick unicorn so I made a shire breed of unicorn. Unicorns in that show are always so proper and such you never see any sort of country-type unicorn(at least so far from what I’ve seen).
He was done very quickly but I love him.
