â—Ž Why do you like fighting types?
Tumblr media
"That's because fighting type Pokemon have rock-solid determination and focus in battle, perfectly blending skill and power to meet their needs. Fighting is all about spirit, and spirit definitely isn't something that they lack."

"Not at all! It's part of my training to master my hunger and use it to my advantage in battle!"

Write me a TBH (To Be Honest), stating an honest fact or thought you feel about me. Or just something honest you wanna say to me. Start the sentence off with "tbh".

At the sudden hostility, the Anon raised its shadowy hands defensively. "I was trying to help her out alright. Listen. Call it a hunch, but something tells me she thinks of you as something more than just 'a friend' if you catch my meaning."
Tumblr media
"Is that right?" she asked, crossing her arms. "That's fine, but if you don't mind, I would rather find out from Candice herself."

"Look, I don't know who you are, but I've already given you the only answer to that question I plan on giving. Why do you want to know, anyway?"

Confessions of a mediocre RP blog...
 1. I have favorites. I try not to - and I do truly give every new thread a chance. But favorites happen, because some people write in a way that just thrills me in particular. I will try not to focus too much on my favorites, knowing that each new person I roleplay with just may turn out to be a favorite as well.
 2. Some days I struggle to write replies. When I do, when I skip over your thread to reply to another, it’s not something you have done wrong. My muse is not responding to yours at the moment, possibly for reasons neither of us have any control over.
 3. There is no correlation between a lengthy reply and a good one. If you can only type out two paragraphs and I’ve written five, you didn’t fail, and vice versa. Writing flows best when you free yourself from the expectations of verbiage, structure, number of words on the page.
 4. I do this for fun. If I’m not having fun with our thread, I have a responsibility to tell you so, to try and fix it so that it’s fun for us both. Conversely, you have a responsibility to do the same. We both have the responsibility of ending things on a pleasant basis if our muses are incompatible.
 5. There are days when I doubt my writing. I think we all have these days. Days when every sentence comes out awkwardly and half-thought, when nothing seems to flow. Please, don’t be afraid to ask me to change a reply if I’ve sidelined the plot with my meandering muse logic.
 6. You will never upset me by talking to me out of character. I’m fully cognizant that behind each muse is a real person, and I would love to get to know that person.
 7. I have a ‘style’, a set way that I best enjoy writing. If you’re a brilliant muse and I enjoy your writing, I may stalk you relentlessly without ever replying to a starter you’ve done just because our styles do not match. This doesn’t mean that either of us is less of a roleplayer because of it - we’re just different.
 8. I will not belittle your character ooc. Each muse is unique, each muse is a precious creation of a creative mind, an entity of its own. I promise to respect that, and only critique when asked and then only for the purposes of helping your writing. I will never send you anon hate.
 9. I want you to plot with me. I want our muses to have a story so complex, so incredible, that everyone reads along. I don’t want either of us to know how it will end before it begins. I want to sit on the edge of my seat, waiting for your reply, just to shake my head in awe of the brilliant turn or twist you’ve come up with.
 10. Mun to mun - you are beautiful to me. When you’re having a bad day, come to my inbox. When you’re doubting yourself, tell me about it and I will remind you how amazing you are. When I’ve angered or disappointed you in character or out, tell me about it. First and foremost, we are writers, and I consider us friends if we write together. You’re not imposing on me - you’re allowing me to help.

"I’m sorry, have we met before?"
The gym leader looked over the other for a moment before shaking her head. "No, I don't think so..." It wasn't like her to forget a face, and she definitely couldn't say that she knew this person.

The fighting expert is quick to straighten herself when Candice calls out to her, having little time to react in the flurry of words from the other gym leader, sheepishly taking the basket while bowing somewhat apologetically. "It's alright Candice, I'm definitely not cold at all!" Well... she was cold, but it was nothing that she couldn't endure. Normally, Maylene functioned off of the same diet as her Pokemon, usually consisting of very little, perhaps a single berry, but receiving food was different, it would be rude to turn it down.
Even in this frigid cold, she felt warm in the presence of Candice, but... that was probably just the blush on her cheeks. However, she tried to ignore that for now, there was work to be done! "I'm glad that you're excited for this - I am, too." She takes a moment to look over Candice's Pokemon, nodding in approval of Weavile, being a dark/ice type it was especially vulnerable against the fighting type. Medicham surprised Maylene, however, she didn't know that Candice had one. Still, it could work, using a fighting type Pokemon would help her know them better, too.
With the basket of food in hand, she makes her way to the edge of the clearing, setting the gift against a tree for now, she would need the help of her hunger to perform at her best, but she planned on celebrating with a good meal afterwards. "Right then... Are you ready to get started?"

Candice skipped through the snow, a basket in hand, humming to herself as she went. She was excited to be meeting Maylene, to finally be seeing her friend again. And she was also excited to get to see how Maylene trained, and even partake in it. She had her Medicham and Weavel out with her, the two Pokemon following solemnly behind their trainer. They had always been her more serious Pokemon of the batch, but she loved and adored then non the less.
"I think I see Maylene over there!" Candice stopped, peering out into the distance to see a familiar bob of pink hair and two Pokemon as well. "Maylene!" Candice yelled, waving her hand at her friend even though the other probably couldn’t see her all that well. Candice took off running, her Pokemon following right behind. If it wasn’t for Medicham catching her she probably would’ve fallen head first into the snow, but she just continued plowing along towards her friend.
"Maylene!" Candice called, more out of breath as she arrived to where the smaller girl was. It was the sound of Maylene’s stomach that caught Candice’s attention. "Did you not eat? Ah, I knew you wouldn’t so I brought food." Candice extended the basket in her hands towards Maylene. "And aren’t you cold? It’s freezing here!" Candice scolded, she really didn’t understand the idea of hard core training but she tried. "I’m excited to do this! I brought Weavile and Medicham too!" Candice told Maylene.

Type Training [@diamonddustqueen]
Maylene stood quietly in the small clearing of the snow-covered trees she had chosen for the training session she had planned with Candice, trying her best not to shiver in the absence of warm clothes - or even shoes. She was succeeding for the most part, her willpower overcoming even that, at least for now.
Medicham and Lucario stood at her side, apparently partaking in Maylene's bizarre form of training as well, though they were perhaps a bit more well conditioned for the cold than a human was. Taking a deep breath, Maylene closed her eyes, slowing all the thoughts in her head as she did, slowly entering into a meditative state.
She had told Candice to meet her here, but she'd shown up far too early in her excitement to see her friend again. If nothing else, this gave Maylene time to sharpen her mind for the upcoming training; after all, Candice wouldn't learn anything from her if she wasn't serious about this. Before Maylene can fully relax into her meditation, the silence is broken by her growling stomach, simultaneously breaking her concentration. "Ugh..."
