The gentleness with which ABC is going about bisexual Buck makes me extremely emotional. We know they’re not gonna backtrack it, we know they’re not gonna make it a phase, plus they’ve given Oliver freedom to actually say that he believes that Buck is the most comfortable with the term “bi.” We actually won.

For years, men who have loved each other romantically have been written down and tossed around for the sake of views and egos. For years, men who love men and women have been ridiculed and scoffed at. For years, queer people and their storylines have been shoved down the drain or put on the spot for quick fame. To have arguably one of the most watched, most advertised tv shows on a network as important as abc believe in a bisexual man and create his story without fear, but rather with pride, with delicacy, feels like watching the sun finally rise after a long night. It’s freeing. 911 means so much to me.
