The smile on Quinn's face widened when Sam mentioned Stevie. He was adorable, and seemed to be turning into a miniature version of his older brother. Watching as he stepped back, she saw the realization on his face as he remembered her cancelled date with Finn - something she'd actually briefly forgotten about herself. "Oh, I'm not hungry, really... Just juice is fine. Apple would be great, if you have it?" It was sweet of him to offer, seeing as she had skipped dinner, although she didn't feel like eating anything right now. The girl was still a little nervous inside, even though everything seemed to be going well so far.
Not wanting to stand around awkwardly, Quinn perched herself on one of the few chairs in the room, placing her bag down beside her. She wanted to ask Sam about what had been going on, not just because she was nosey, or even curious. but to get a better understanding of his situation. She decided against it however; it probably wouldn't be a good idea, and she didn't want to upset Sam or make him angry. He undoubtedly wouldn't want to talk about it to her of all people, especially not in front of Stacey and Stevie. He'll tell me in his own time, she assured herself.
Instead, she turned the conversation to his siblings to keep it lighthearted. Plus, that's the whole reason she was there, wasn't it? "So, Stevie's trying to impress me, is he?" She kept her voice down so the two children wouldn't hear. "I must say, I'm flattered." A soft laugh at his sweetness fell from her lips as she averted her gaze from the kids back to Sam. He was just like Sam - who had tried his hardest to impress her not too long ago.

Quinn was shocked to say the least, as Sam opened the door to let her in. It was just a small room and a bathroom, with their possessions in boxes all over the place. She couldn't imagine how it felt. Her vast house with all their expensive belongings inside now seemed wasted. Here, there were five people in one room; Quinn and her mother barely set foot into half the rooms in their house since her Russell left. She kept a brave face though, for Sam, never lettting the smile on her lips faulter. "It's nice, really."
Before she knew it, Stacey was on her feet running over to Quinn, her arms around her legs. Even if she knew Sam wasn't her biggest fan right now, at least Stacey was more than pleased to see her. She hugged the small blonde tight. "I missed you too, sweetie. You're being a good girl for Sam, right?" Stacey nodded, grinning. "Will you braid my hair like last time?" A laugh escaped Quinn's mouth, remembering back to the first time she'd met Sam's siblings. She'd sported her long hair in a braid, and Stacey insisted she have one too. "Of course I will." Stacey cheered with excitement before running back to join her brother on the bed to watch TV.
Quinn looked up at Sam. "She's really cute," she says, a genuine smile on her face. "I hope they're not driving you too crazy. Trust me, some of the kids at Sunday School send me insane, and that's only an hour every week." She laughed. Quinn relaxed a bit more even though she was worried there might be a slight tension in the air. Sure they'd been speaking a little since the breakup but neither of them actually mentioned it outright. Quinn knew the conversation they were both anticipating was bound to happen at some point, and despite being anxious she hoped it would finally settle things between them. In the meantime, she knew she had to earn Sam's forgiveness for any progress to happen.

BABYSITTING ADVENTURES | F2F
Quinn wasn't looking forward to calling Finn and telling him they'd have to reschedule their date. Despite telling Sam she'd already done it. She'd planned on doing it before she left the house, but couldn't bring herself to. So instead, the girl found herself sat in her car in the motel's parking lot. "Hey Finn... Something's come up and I can't make it tonight. My mom desperately needs help with the church group. I can't exactly say no. Tomorrow perhaps?" Quinn bit her lip as she felt a pang of guilt in her stomach. It's not as though she wanted to lie, but convinced herself there wasn't another way. "It's fine babe, have fun. See you tomorrow." the voice echoed on the other end of the phone.
She hit the end call button on her phone and sighed before exiting her car and making her way to Sam's motel room. It was strange, she was almost excited, even though she knew Sam wasn't going to be over the moon to see her. But she liked Stacy and Stevie, they were sweet from what she remembered the brief few times they'd spoke. Making sure she had the correct door, Quinn knocked quietly and waited until it began to open, Sam's head poking round the other side. "Hi. Can I come in?".

SAM: Apparently.
SAM: You really don't have to do this, Quinn. You shouldn't cancel your date to help me out. I can handle this.
QUINN: It's fine, honestly.
QUINN: So, which motel are you in? Seeing as there's only two in the whole of Lima it shouldn't be hard to find.

SAM: I only offered because I thought you'd decline.
QUINN: ... That's a pretty stupid thing to do.
QUINN: Look, I've said I'm helping, and that's that.

SAM: You made a big deal of it yesterday.
SAM: You don't even know where I am.
QUINN: Hardly.
QUINN: Then tell me, and I'll drive there. It's not that hard, Sam.

SAM: Go on your date, Quinn.
QUINN: It's just Breadstix. It's hardly special.
QUINN: Besides, I've already agreed and told Finn.

QUINN: Why would I be?
QUINN: They're cute, and I like children, actually. It'll be fun.

SAM: Fine. You wanna help that bad? Help me babysit Stacey and Stevie tonight.
QUINN: Of course, I'd be happy to.
QUINN: I'll have to tell Finn I've got a church meeting or something... but I'm sure he won't exactly mind.

SAM: You wouldn't do that.
QUINN: Watch me.
QUINN: Your family needs help, and whether it's from me or someone else, you're going to get it.

SAM: I deliver pizzas. It pays enough and it's better than nothing.
SAM: Because I don't need help. Not from you.
QUINN: If you won't let me help, then maybe I can ask someone from the church group instead.
QUINN: Or offer to help out your parents; I'm sure they'd be more than happy.

SAM: That's none of your business.
SAM: But I got a job. And my mom did that. She was just asking for prayer.
SAM: Nice. Have fun.
QUINN: Doing what? Whatever it is, I'm sure it doesn't exactly pay very much.
QUINN: Thanks, we will.
QUINN: Let me ask you a question - Why are you so resistant to let me help you?

SAM: I'm helping them. We're fine.
SAM: Glad he's treating you like you should be.
QUINN: How exactly?
QUINN: Of course, because people who don't need help don't ask for a special mention during the Sunday service at church.
QUINN: He's actually taking me to dinner at Breadstix tomorrow, his idea.

SAM: Not quite as stubborn.
SAM: I get it, Quinn. I get you. You feel bad, right? You cheated on me, lied about it, and now you know I'm homeless so you think you can get rid of whatever guilt you have by helping me out. Well, I don't want it.
SAM: Focus on Finn.
QUINN: ... I'm sorry we didn't end on the best of terms and I get you're angry and upset - but think of your family, Sam. I'm sure they'd be glad of the help.
QUINN: I know I can be selfish - but this time I'm not doing it for my benefit.
QUINN: Finn doesn't need my constant attention. He's probably too caught up in some stupid video game right now, anyway.

SAM: I told you everything was alright.
SAM: I don't want your help.
QUINN: You're almost as stubborn as me.
QUINN: Look, I know what it's like to lose something. I didn't have a real home last year, but once I let everyone in glee help me out, things got better.
QUINN: I'm not saying you should tell them, but since I already know and I'm offering to help, you should accept it. Trust me.
QUINN: Besides... it's the least I can do.

QUINN: Really? Because it didn't exactly sound that way when we last spoke.
QUINN: You don't have to hide anything. I'm here to help you, like I said I would; despite your refusal.
