The WRONG TURN LEADS TO DEATH | The Crash of Comair Flight 5191 Travelling is a wonderful thing to do, especially for persons who really love it. When flying to an airport, we as the passengers and flight attendants relied on our pilots to take us safely to our destination, but sometimes things can get out of control. This video demonstrates what caused Comair Flight 5191 to crash at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington. This flight was scheduled for a flight from Lexington, Kentucky to Atlanta, Georgia. They were informed to taxi onto runway 22 and they confirmed. The captain actually taxied onto runway 26 instead. The manufacturer calculated the speed for the takeoff. The runway's length is 3500 feet. However, when they calculated the speed, they got 137 knots and 3744 feet is required for the plane to rotate. While the copilot departs the plane, he noticed that the runway is lack of lighting. The plane overruns the runways and crashed in the trees nearby the airport, separating the fuselage and cockpit from the tail. All passengers and two of the three crew died in the accident.
