Hi!
It's been awhile since I've posted on this blog, apologies for the silence. I've been consistently posting over on my Insta (feltical_cats!) and I've been pretty busy with sewing and other things, so posting things on here kind of went to the back burner. But I intend on posting a lot of things from the last couple months on here for anyone who doesn't use Instagram and would like to see my content here! (Though really I do encourage anyone to check out my Insta, it's where I post commission info, I post WIP photos to my stories, stuff like that.)
So to kick myself into gear on posting things here again, I have a comparison set. The left Jenny here belongs to Michelle Carter and was the first Jenny I ever made, and was part of the OG cast set I made back in 2021/early 2022. The one on the right is one I finished up earlier today for a commission. The design I have for Jenny hasn't changed a bit since I made this first one and I think that helps to see how I've improved since that first one. But she's still a doll, she's so tiny and cute lol.

A Tugger I finished up uhh last week or something (time is fake idk) for Luke Bernier on the US tour! I’ve had the pleasure of seeing his Tugger in person and he’s just a delight to watch, so I was really happy to make a Tugger for him. I tried a new type of faux fur for this one and I also played around with the colours on the cinnamon swirl on his head. I love how he turned out, he just looks so pleasant.

All hail and all power to the great Rumpus Cat!
This is one of my favourite things I have ever made, lol. I just love how this turned out. I made him for John Bow on the US tour to celebrate his 450+ shows with Cats. Pekes and Pollicles is one of my top favourite numbers in the show whether its the revival or the og version, so this was just a lot of fun for me to make. Maybe one day I’ll make an original Rumpus Cat for funsies.

Aaand a bit of a different one I finished up for a commission! I was asked to do Il Sistina Misto and I was soo excited to make this one. I think the Il Sistina designs are so cool, they’re all really unique while still being very Jellicle. This one was really fun to figure out and put together and I just love how he came out. Tbh I just love to do nonreplica designs in general, they’re a really fun challenge to figure out and I always love how they turn out in the end.

Two black and white boys I finished last week for commissions. :) Nothing big here, just some classic Jellicles I can do with my eyes closed. Well, not really. But yknow. They’re beautifully simple designs that I very much love to make!

I’m back! Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I took a trip last week and forgot to post the commissions I made right before I left, and lo and behold I forgot to post them until I finished some commissions this weekend!
SO. Here we have the most recent 4 Jellicles I’ve made. Vienna revival Macavity, Victoria, Demeter, and Alonzo. The Vienna Macavity I had never made before so he was a really fun challenge to do. He is definitely different than the other cats I make, that’s for sure! But I think I was able to do him justice.

Two lil’ ladies I finished up this week! And no, the photos are NOT the same size! I’m so good at this, promise. Anyway these are US tour plushies, specifically for Clara Hevia and Gracie Anderson. I got to see Gracie’s Teazer debut so it was a joy to finally get to make this plushie for her. <3 And I just LOVE how this Sillabub turned out, I wasn’t feeling it at first and then all the pieces came together and she’s just a doll.

Bustopher Jones round 2 electric boogaloo. I’m just a person who makes Bustopher plushies now, no other Jellicles. He’s for the US tour vacation swing Jonathan Heller, hence why I did the little door photo for him since Jonathan wasn’t with the company when those photos were taken. I thought it was a fun touch. I’m SO happy with how he came out, I love the little blush marks I put on the face, it really pulls everything together IMO.

A super fun plushie I got to make recently, Autumn the swing cat from the International Tour! The dance captain for the Intl tour, Anna Campkin, had asked me to make her. I was so jazzed to get the opportunity to make her since she’s specific to that production and to Anna herself. It’s such a cute design too, I had a fun time making her.

A very special little Cass I made for Lexy Bittner to celebrate her 400th show with Cats! She asked if I could make Cass during Misto’s number when her costume gets lit up, and I said I would definitely try my best. Beads were on sale at my craft store so I went for it. It took a looooong time to sew all the beads on but I really think it was worth it, I love how she turned out. <3

A lil Alonzo and Munk pair that I finished up for Ben McMillan on the Asia tour. I’ve been a fan of his since he was in the RCCL cast so I was beyond delighted to get to make these for him. And I hadn’t gotten to make either of these since I made them for the US tour group and it was just nice to get to make them again. <3

Bustopher Jones I finished for a commission earlier today! I’m SO excited about this guy, I’ve only made one other Bustopher before. I was really happy to get to make another one. I tried a few new things with this one and I’m so happy with how he turned out! <3

Tantomile that I finished up yesterday! I’m really happy with how my pattern for the psychic twins has evolved. I think it works great for their design. I don’t get to make either of the twins super often, so I’m glad I got a chance to with this commission. :)

Mungojerrie I finished up a little bit ago! I’m super excited about this one since I haven’t made Jerrie in a really long time. I got to try out a new technique for the body, which I think worked pretty well for him! He’s a pleasant looking little guy who also is so freaking brightly coloured irl he looks like a poisonous fish.

Drumroll please........ plushie #150 is done! This little guy is for the same commission as the Macavity I made the other day, but he is very special. I was asked to do the current international tour design for Carbucketty (specifically Roan Pronk’s makeup) and he was a bit of a challenge to figure out. But how fitting for 150, he couldn’t be easy!
I’ve only been making these plushies for a little over a year, so to already be at this milestone number is crazy to me. I’m so happy to be doing this, to be making fun little plushies for such a niche fandom that is pretty devoid of character-specific merch. It’s been a blast and I cant wait to see what I get to make between here and #200!

Macavity I finished up earlier today for a commission! I don’t get to do Macavity very often so I was happy to get the opportunity to make him again. Of course this is the revival style design, but I’d looove the chance to make a pre-revival style one sometime.
