the camera is positioned to catch the cloud behind the tree, making it look like the cloud is the leaves.

This photo was take of two people sitting outside on a bench. The grass has been reclouled grey to resemble the moon and the background has changed to make it appear like they were looking at earth.

the photo manipulation was definitely meant to be noticed. The tire is centered to be in the midde of the eye,, making it appear as the retina.

How to give your dance photos a sense of motion.
-In order to freeze the image and capture a blurry background you first need to make sure you have a slow shutter speed. Not too slow though, because then too much light will be let in.
-Then you need to use our aperture and ISO to dial into a wanted exposure.
-Flash exposure, the subject needs to be visible and sharp.
-Swinging the camera, this sometimes messes up the photo depending on how many lights are in the background.

How to Improve Your Documentary Photography
-‘Documentary photography is a style of photography that provides a straightforward and accurate representation of people, places, objects and events, and is often used in reportage’
-Getting close to your object reveals a window that a regular ‘far standing’ photographer would not capture.
-When approaching the object you wish to take a picture of, adjust your lens to make it bigger. This adds action and context to the photo.
-Your work needs to stand out. With the position of your camera to the position of you, you want to be different and bring a new concept to the table.
-Keep the same focal point when taking a wad of photos.
-Don’t seek the perfect photo, let it come to you, in a spot or place.

Photographing motion with camera panning.
-The reason people use the technique of panning is to get the effect of being framed by a blur. Creating the object in the center to be framed.
1. Go to a busy street corner.
2. Make sure object is moving parallel to the lens.
3. Dial in settings.
4. Move your camera at the same speed as the object passing by you.

What is shutter speed?
-Shutter speed is one of the three components of exposure; aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
-Shutter speed is how long it takes for the literal shutter inside of your camera to open and close.
-The longer your shutter is open, the more light enters and brightens the photo.
-A shorter shutter speed results in less light coming in, making your photos appear darker.
-The shutter speed is how long your camera is exposed to light. (exp. 2 second shutter speed means, the camera takes the picture for two seconds and captures all of the movement within that time.)
-If you have a fast shutter speed and you take a photo of a moving object it will appear like the image is frozen in time.
-From 1/8000 of a second to 1/1000 is perfect for fast motion( outside ) because it captures it without being blurred.
-From 1/60th of a second to ⅛ is great for taking fast images (indoor) with little lighting. This creates blur.
-If you want to take a picture that is in a dark place you should lengthen your shutter speed and vise versa if you’re in a light place.

This is a picture of a twisted tree, it was taken on a school trip and the branches were extremely unique. The position of the tree, being closer to the lens, makes it one of the first things you see. The snow on the ground contrasts with the colour of the bark. I like this picture because of the unique tree and how it stands out from the rest. When I see this picture I feel cold.

This is a picture of a beach in Port Elgin, the sun was setting and the waves were calm. When I took this picture I was feeling overall happy. I don’t normally like big bodies of water but I am proud of this picture and I admire the horizon line and how it separates the sky from the water. The overall space and colour makes a big emphasis on the sun. When seeing this picture it brings good memories and calm feelings.

Two hands are connected to form a heart, in each hand is a cigarette. Behind their hands is the sky, purple to pink. Below that seems to be the roof of a car. I like this because of the use of shape that creates emphasis on the heart they are making with their hands. The colour of their jackets and hands are deeper than the background which creates a contrast. Though they are making a heart, the cigarettes in their hands are simply ironic due to the fact they are implying one thing while showing another.

Here, there is use of illusion as you may think you are looking at waves, if you look again you will see that they are actually clouds and that the photo was taken from a high place. There is an ombre of yellow to orange above the sea of white. The soft wavy texture of the clouds portrays movement in the photo. I wonder where this was taken. I also question if the photo taker went through the struggle just to get the photo.
