Hello, this is Bear's owner. I have not used Tumblr for 3 years, as I realized this website was unhealthy for my mental state. It made me sick, and I was in a troubled part of my life.
I never knew that I had submitted this three years ago, and I want to say thank you. I got the email that it had been posted, and I cried. I recovered my account just to say this. I have healed and changed a lot in that time, and my best friend, Bear, passed away in July 2020. Nothing else kept me going but her.
She went from a wild and ferocious street dog to a loyal, strong willed companion that would walk at my side without straying. We had so many adventures in the woods, discovering new worlds and it was as if she understood me, when no one else would. She was a 130 pounds of spirit that couldn’t be broken. She stepped between my mother and I the many times I was being abused, and I for her.
She was 10 years old when I got out, but I couldn’t leave her behind. She got sick shortly after that. She was in a lot of pain, and even if I told her no, she still cried as she forced herself up the stairs to lay with me. Still wanted to explore and play like we used to, but I knew I couldn’t let her suffer any more. I took the submitted picture the day we got out, down in the woods at the riverside.
She was truly a beast, and will never be forgotten. Link to her Embark :)

very kind looking, round. 10/10
and then the other in the genus is
the bay cat, or as i like to call them - the weasel cat. long, kinda weird looking, but still 10/10 despite the weaselness.

It's so important to check the ingredients on pet foods. I don't care if you like eating unhealthy, your pet can't make that choice. These treats said "spinach" so they had to be healthy right?
There isn't even any spinach in the ingredients, just green food coloring. These may be a good occasional treat, but it's just an example of how companies will trick you into buying a low quality product. Most dog food brands are guilty of this.

It’s also her managers and producers who want and encourage her to look like this, because more and more people want to buy from PoC artists and give them more exposure, so they think that if they slowly make Ariana look and sound more black, she wont be “just another singer”.The pink low light makes her skin look dark, a choice made by her manager and video director, paired with fake ass spray tan. She goes along with it because it gives her more publicity and she can blend in with the “culture”. It’s kind of gross.

So I am thinking of getting a fish!! A betta fish to be exact. I'm looking to get one that isn't being cared for properly. Whose a little worse for ware. Who needs love. I just need some help is all. I am getting a 10+ gallon tank, for the fish, and I want live plants too. I just dont know how to set up the tank and everything in it. Can I have tips and advice?

The best piece of advice I can give you is don’t be shy. Ask for help as much as you need. When I seriously started in the hobby I was always asking people questions. Even if it sounds like a dumb question, ask it. You’ll be in charge of a little life and it’s better to ask and be sure than to sit on it and then something happens. Use the bettablr tag too. Usually, someone will answer your question within a day. Don’t trust random forums, don’t trust shitty facebook groups. Find a good local fish store too. Chain pet stores are eh, a good LFS is where it’s at.
Most of all though, enjoy yourself. It’s a great hobby, both fishkeeping and aquascaping. I’m sure you’ll love it, anon, and I’m sure whatever fish you adopt will love it too.
