Cigar Specs Country of origin:La Corona Cigar Factory, Nicaragua Size: 6 ¼ X 54 Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro Binder: Jalapa Filler: Esteli/Jalapa Vitola: Sublime Price: $12.95
Introduction:
Serino Cigars will be launching at the IPCPR tradeshow on July 25th, 2016. There are three blends all together the Connecticut, the Medio, and finally the Maduro. The cigar for this review is the Royal Maduro XX. The cigars for this review were provided by Serino Cigars but in no way does this impact the review.
Appearance/Construction:
The wrapper of the cigar is an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro with a beautiful chocolate brown hue with some red tone to it. There are very few minimal veins and no noticeable soft or hard spots with the right amount of give to it. The wrapper is smooth to the touch and has a fair amount of oils. The cigar has two bands; the main band is a base of royal blue with gold and red accents and calls out the company name, the band at the foot has the same color scheme and calls out the name of the cigar.
Flavor/Taste & Aroma:
The aroma of the cigar pre light is that of a medium. I pick up the aroma of tobacco, leather, cocoa, mild spice, and earth. Cold draw you pick up on the rich tobaccos, leather, and earth. The first third of the cigar has tons of very heavy leather, a mild semi sweet cocoa, rich dark earth, and a very faint spice on the finish. The finish is smooth and has notes of earth, leather, and creaminess to it. As the cigar moves into the second third you find more of the same flavors that were in the initial third however they become more balanced and the spice picks up a bit, and the heavy leathery tobacco flavors pick up a bit. The flavors blend very well together and it is a very rich creamy flavor. The final third of the cigar the spice notes move back to the back ground and you are introduced to the flavor of freshly baked bread and a dark roast coffee along with the earthy tobacco and meaty leather notes. This is a very well balanced cigar through all three phases.
Smoking Characteristics:
The construction on the cigar is top notch. The burn was great and never needed any of my attention which adds to the smoking experience. The burn line was not razor sharp at the start but by the second third this has evened out and was near perfect. The Maduro XX produced a solid grey ash on the end. The ash was solid for about half of the cigar. There is a good amount of thick smoke being produced with each puff. The draw was perfect not to tight and not so easy that is was like breathing. This allowed for a good amount of smoke production on both ends of the cigar.
Conclusion/Overall Impression:
The Serino Maduro XX was a very enjoyable cigar with a complex and intriguing flavor profile with tons of enjoyable aromas. This is a solid initial offering to the line up that has great potential to make waves when released in July. This is a cigar that I look forward to revisiting often. Be sure to follow them close as they release in July and see when your local will have them in stock!
4.8 /5 –Very Very Enjoyable

Whiff Industries
Every once in a while there comes a product that can change the way a cigar smoker enjoys their passion. Today I am writing about the products offered by Whiff Industries. They currently make two versions of what they call Whiff Out. The initial version was a fine granular power that is to be used in ash trays to combat the odor of the remains left in the ash tray. The second is a spray mist that…
