Pretty in Pink (Josh!BF x Fem!Reader)

Requested by @fight-the-fire <3 I didn’t think I’d be writing about the jullet but I just HAD to :3

After pulling on your soft velvet pencil skirt, you smooth it down as you scan over your outfit in the mirror and adjust the matching light pink cropped tank top to ensure your chest is sitting pretty.

You wanted a simple yet dainty look for the evening Josh had planned, a romantic dinner on the beach.

“We’ll watch the sunset while we eat! Purple, orange and pink painting the sky!” You remember Josh’s excited words from last night while he spooned you, he told you that he had a couple surprises planned for the next day. As he lulled you to sleep with his soothing and raspy voice you felt his heart beating quickly as he described the day ahead,

“For dinner we are trying a new rosé that me and the boys picked up at the winery.. oh- and surf and turf will be served by the beach front restaurant, imagine that? Your toes in the sand, sipping wine, the sounds of waves crashing at the shore…” He peppered kisses on your cheeks and played with your hands, stroking your fingers with his own, applying a little amount of pressure to massage them.

Upon the new day, you stood in front of the mirror, analyzing your bare nails. You decided to paint your nails to also kill time as you waited for your boyfriend to come back home. He said he needed to “run a few errands” before your date and you noticed that he looked a bit nervous this morning: running his hands through his frizzy and fluffy hair more than usual. His perm may have fallen but he still remained the most adorable person you knew.
