Okay so we know that Sokka is notoriously cool under pressure, BUT we also know that sometimes if he’s the ONLY one in danger his brain cells reduce to zero (see: bitter work).

All I’m saying is if he was cornered by Zuko alone in close quarters, I think his single brain cell would activate and he’d kiss him. Zuko would so startled that he’d stop attacking and Sokka could get away.

The comedic potential and potential fallout of this is just too good

I just think that in the venn diagram of Sokka's attraction between unobtainable royalty and kickass warrior there's someone who fits nicely in the middle.

Sokka and Zuko get SO much funnier when you remember this is both of their first times talking to another teenage boy in years. Sokka had all the other boys leave the tribe when he was little and Zuko just hasn’t talked to other teenage boys. They wanna be friends but have absolutely no clue how to talk to other teenagers. I love them so much.

zuko has a daddy-issues desire to impress piandao and prove his skills so whenever he's at piandao's and he loses spars to sokka (since WHEN was sokka so distractingly handsome???) he feels terrible. piandao must be so disappointed in him! little does he know that it's actually making piandao like him more. he's watching zuko stumble over himself like awww i've been there :) i love my awkward gay son

My little Zukka head canon is that Zuko would tell Sokka how he got his scar. Zuko would be like “Yeah it was bad but it set me down the path to joining Aang. So I try to see the good instead of dwelling on what can’t be changed.”

And Sokka is just like “I’m so glad you have grown sweetie” and just takes his sword to go murder Ozai in prison.

Zuko had his ‘over coming anger’ arc. Sokka on the other hand has been looking for a reason to murder that man.

“Mmnph- !!”

S: “I can take you back to your cell if you’ve learned your lesson…”

The frigid climate had frozen his body in a layer of ice, rendering Zuko immobile and helpless. He drew in a deep breath and exhaled a stream of amber flames that began to defrost the ice. he felt a renewed sense of energy and determination coursing through his body.

The ice melted away, revealing the true strength and resilience of his core. With each passing moment, Zuko was stronger, more focused, and more determined, his fiery spirit had burned away the cold and brought him back to life, the disguised guard was momentarily taken aback by the sight, but they quickly regained their composure and pressed on.

Z: “Yes, I have.”
