Headcannon, Lexi never tells Cassie or her mom about her and Fezco dating, but one day Cassie starts some bullshit and ends up shit talking Fezco, and Lexi yells at her "Don't talk about my husband like that!" without even relising that not only did she just admit to dating him she also called him her husband despite the fact that they are both teenagers who haven't even been together for two months.
And when Suze finally meets Fez she would bring up that Lexi referred to him as her husband, which he would never stop bringing up because of how happy it makes him that Lexi already thinks of him as her husband.

losing my mind at how lexi didn’t have to include fez in her play to *include* him. the green sweater, his store, his couch, her first time smoking… the subtlety is so good ! and then dedicating the play to him & “one little exchange and i fall in love” are just…. lexi’s love is so soft, so loud, so big, she puts it into everything she does.
