Cubby, nine years old. A.k.a. Snot Monster.

He has FHV-1, that’s where the nickname Snot Monster comes from. It’s chronic, we have taken him to a lot of veterinarians but they can’t seem to find a cure. He isn’t suffering. Cubby is an extremely affectionate, loud, and happy cat.

Who rescued who?

Good afternoon. This was the first night that I met Max. Me and my better half were traveling across the country. Visiting her mother looking at potential places to move and we were staying at a motel 6 in New Mexico. We just got back from eating and was going in for the night. When we heard a strange grovel sound from under a truck and we decided to investigate. Upon further investigation we noticed this little feller up under the truck. He slowly made his way out and one of us ran in and got some of Pookies cat food. Btw Pookies my girls 18 year old cat who are stuck together like two peas in a pod. Well after trying to lure him out with some cat food he finally came out and Dani scooped him up. Well as I mentioned earlier we already had Pookie and her and Dani had a bond that me and her didn't even have lol. I had been wanting a kitty that I could have that bond with as well, but it just wasn't the right time to go seeking a pet. We were in the process of relocating and such. But when God, the universe, divine intervention or whatever you want to call it speaks. YOU LISTEN! So we decided we would keep him a night or two and if it didn't work out we would try and re home him. After all who could resist that face? Not us!!! But here's the catch. We were in a motel room and we didn't want him to be around Pookie because he could have had feline aids, fleas, or whatever else. So i decided I would sleep in the bathroom with him so he didn't have to be scared and alone. Plus we didn't want to hear him whine all night lol. So we slept in the bath tub together that night and been glued together ever since. He is like the child we never had. I have the video of us feeding him somewhere and will try to dig it up at some point. But that's the story of how Max joined our little family! Thanks for reading!
