Every time I think this city cannot get worse it gives me information to make me start silently screaming in horror/laughing hysterically into my hands again.
"Important citizens."
Usually the rule is "no harm to citizens." Meanwhile, the fact that there's a distinction for "important" kind of carries the implication that apparently the Gate has decided this: You can openly be a Bhaalist or Banite in public, just don't stab any patriars; priests of Tymora, Gond or Umberlee; visiting merchant and dignitaries or wealthy people (we want their money) or annoy the Flaming Fist too much.
Feel free to turn that dockworker into a pincushion though!
I mean, Gortash is blatantly wearing Bane's holy symbol on his arm... Also the Guild spies recognising the local Bhaalist leader on sight, which I personally interpret as Durge wearing the robes and veil in public rather than showing their face but you never know...

when i came out as trans i had an old friend from my church days message me to congratulate me and ask me for my name and pronouns. and i was shocked tbh cause he was such a head-deep-up-the-church’s ass kind of guy so i was super wary.
and after digging a little deeper i found out that he was very supportive of transness, saying that trans men are men and trans women are women
BUT
he also believed in the church’s gender roles meaning that trans women had to marry men and be submissive wives and trans men had to marry women and be strong christian husbands.
which is like ????
the weirdest and most surreal form of trans inclusive misogyny i’ve ever seen.

I'm getting so pissed with people who are saying Gwen isnt trans. Like they're trying to explain why her dad has a trans patch on his jacket and why she has a trans flag in her room, by saying she supports trans people... wtf???? Literally what ally has a TRANS FLAG, IN THEIR ROOM, BECAUSE THEY SUPPORT TRANS PEOPLE??? That's some shit closeted me would tell my parents when they saw me drawing rainbows. People that are saying this shit are literally just transphobic and dont want her to be trans. Gwen is trans and fuck everyone that argues against that.
