life changes
went back to work and got a part time job to get out of gacha/anime figures debt and survived my first black friday in retail but i forgot to clock out.
gonna apply for a master's degree again and try to move forward with my life.
streaming gacha and drawing/painting will be on intermittent schedule but i guess i'll try to keep up with HI3, GI, and HSR, but my interest in hoyoverse is rapidly diminishing due to hoyo fatigue in general. right now even zenless just feels mid to me, maybe above average at best. some days when i have time before or after work to stream dailies, i find myself lacking the willpower to do so.

My Kiana statue arrived but I've been too busy to unbox. Just got an email that the maid Elysia is on the way. Bunch of HSR Himeko merch is still in a warehouse I gotta pay shipping for...
It's been a long month and not as much art as I'd have liked. HI3 6.9 started out strong but got a bit overwhelming toward the end. GI 4.1 felt a bit of a slog, and HSR 1.4 felt like it lost steam for me very quickly.
I played a lot of Armored Core 6 this month and channeled my inner Welt and became a robot, it was a fantastic break away from the hoyosphere.

Haha I remember the first release of RGBenares we used to run Herrscher of Thunder with Herrscher of Flamescion supported by Pardo. Later, on the abyss version you could crash the game if you Herrscher of Truth combo at the right time at the end of the transition against the lightning orbs due to the way all the effects were drawn on screen.

I’ve never actually gotten to fight SSS Benares, on the account of my subpar skills and allergy to rolling on the weapon and stigmata banners. Its so hard to find references of her. What, do I have to rip her model myself? (Please don’t sue me Mihoyo)
For my sanity I’m going to take it slow and consider the days as suggestions.

"Bite deeper," Kafka sighs, toying with a lock of Himeko's hair as if it is the most natural thing in the world to have a vampire's fangs embedded deep in her wrist.
Himeko glares at her, pulling her fangs out and licking at the wound until it closes, discreetly dripping some of her own onto it. Not enough to turn Kafka. That'd be a hell all of its own. Just a measured drop to keep her alive and healing well.
"Strange to be so greedy when I hold your life in my hands," Himeko says, plucking at the buttons of Kafka's shirt. "Are you really that wasteful with it?"
"Only for a beautiful woman." Kafka grins, in that ennervating way that has Himeko seeing red. It's the kind of smile that pulls away any pretense from the moment: an open invitation to be worse. Perfectly hooked bait, she knows as much, but sometimes she deserves the indulgence of falling.
She flicks off the top button on the shirt, pushing the cloth apart to reveal Kafka's chest, the skin warm and smooth. She can feel the pulse underneath her fingertips as she follows the veins, and this close to the heart, well...
"What has you so mesmerized?"
"Your heart," Himeko says, splaying her fingers over it. It pounds underneath her touch, the heartrate increasing, reverberating into her own stilled heart. "Do you know that the blood closest to the heart is the most intoxicating to drink? So close to life that it could be beating inside my mouth. It's as close to the living as I can be."
"And is my twisted little heart tempting you?"
"Yes," Himeko breathes, licking her lips. "I want to feel your life bleed into me."
"And how close to death would that bring me?"
"Very."
Kafka brushes her hand over Himeko's cheek, running a thumb over the swell of her lower lip before she pulls her shirt back further, exposing her breasts. Her eyes glitter, dark and wild. "Make sure to leave a mark."

For your info, in case you didn’t notice: seems like APHO is set after the beginning of part 2.
According to the trailer, part 2 starts in September 2023 (today, in fact) while APHO is set in either 2025 or 2029 (kind of unclear, Susannah’s vision in ch38 hints at the former).
So, no, we’re not dropping the old cast forever since the invasion of Earth plot point will have to be resolved eventually, I highly doubt absolutely all the action would happen on Mars and its Bubble Universes. Additionally, the Earthling newbies have direct links to Schicksal and Einstein so they’re not completely cut off from the old cast either.
The “self-insert MC” isn’t even confirmed to be a self-insert, they have an established life and backstory, the stream just said you can change their gender from a girl to a boy after a certain point of the story if you want, so not Adam 2.
So many people doomposting on the first trailer, come on, I’m disappointed in the fandom……
