Dottore and lisa being classmates who had feelings for each other at Sumeru.

In Lisa's story it said that she witnessed the madness of scholars in their pursuit of knowledge hence why she left. I like to imagine it was dottore. She saw her former classmate and the man she once loved descend into madness, performing unspeakable experiments and despite her best attempts to stop him from going down a dark path, she realized he was too far gone and thats why she left.
