Abusing your body with food (may it be over indulging or excessive restriction)or exercise or dangerous substance is not self love, BODY POSITIVITY or self acceptance. . . .
If you truly loved yourself you would do everything you can to protect, support & help your body to become the best it can !!!
. . .
Don’t get thay confused!!!

Sometimes what life asks you for is a leap of faith, a moment of total surrender, a deep space of trust and love. Unless you feel in your bones that the universe is a benevolent place it will be nearly impossible for you to open your heart and say yes. But that is exactly what is needed. And yes, the universe is a benevolent place, always working in best interests, even and especially when you feel it’s not. There is only a stream of well-being, of blessing. We sometimes step out of alignment, but the essence of the stream never changes. Love never changes. Love never becomes hate. It sits patiently by while your work out your stuff, it waits for the next moment when you might let love in. But love never actually becomes hate. Forgive yourself each time you let hate into your heart, but don’t worry, love never becomes hate. The love that’s in your heart can never be destroyed or defiled. There’s no way for that to happen. Love is love, timeless, pure, eternal, changeless. Love is an endlessly renewable source of energy. When you tap into it you are tuned in to your source and your true nature. Jump into the arms of love and fly. _ #practiceyogachangeyourworld #onebreathatatime (at Miami Beach, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/BvcUXqpH5L9/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xljyo3wi7z3u

Why Is Nepal's Flag Not Like Other Flags?
Tumblr media
The flag of Nepal is in the shape of two pennants, one sewn on top of the other. They symbolize the Rana dynasty’s two branches, which ruled the country from 1846 to 1951. In the 1800s, the two red pennants were joined to represent the nation of Nepal, and in 1962 the conjoined form was officially adopted by Nepal’s constitutional government. To the Nepalese today, the flag symbolizes the country’s two religions – Hinduism and Buddhism – living side by side.
Pennants like Nepal’s flag used to be common for regional flags in Asia. But the rectangular flag, common in European countries, eventually took hold around the world, replacing regional symbols of allegiance.

Padmasana is the posture for excellence associated with yoga. Even in ancient texts, Padmasana has been the posture that has consistently being mentioned in ancient texts such as Siva Samhita, Gheranda Samhita, Hatha Yoga Padripika and so on… So everyone of us when we first came to yoga, that’s the very first picture we have of a yogi in our minds. As a consequence, we try too hard to achieve this posture without considering the cultural differences that make our bodies not so prepared for this āsana. In the traditional India to which this posture belongs, people sit on the floor for eating, people walk long distances and sit in squad for hours while working the land, even the traditional toilets in India require squat skills. So knee flexibility is quite different between both worlds. This is without even mentioning the different body types we have in western world compared to the long limbs and short torso that most yogis in India have. Due to this reality, most of us need a lot of preparation in order to develop the required space and mobility to perform Padmasana and it’s variations such as Ardha Baddha Padmapaschimottanasana (in the picture), without injuring our knees (specially our meniscus). Because of the intrinsic relationship between the ankles, knees and hips, we must ensure that we start by opening the hips. For instance, if your knee doesn’t come down, don’t press it down. Instead, pay attention to what happens in your hips and ankles and see if you can create relaxation in both joints and select postures which can create more mobility in the areas. Each body is different and we will have different necessities and required different preparations. There are many postures that improve knee flexibility, for me, one of the most effective ones is squad. But the most important practice, is patience and consistency.

Time can be slowed if you live deliberately. If you stop and watch sunsets. If you spend time sitting on porches listening to the woods. If you give in to the reality of the seasons. —  Thomas Christopher Greene, I’ll Never Be Long Gone
