This is a Frank & Gerard masterpost. I've been collecting their moments for years and their connection is just my favorite thing in the world. If you love them as much as I do, this will make you smile.

Gerard: Frank is extremely passionate, headstrong, kind of rebellious individual but extremely loyal and honest. He’s the kind of guy that would do anything for his friends. He’d help you bury the body.

Frank: Gerard is really sensitive, but very, very, very smart and sometimes people don’t get it, because he’s not like school intelligent, he’s just an idealist, he’s like a genius.

Frank: Gerard, in my view, is the second coolest motherfucker on the Earth, second because I’m first and therefore cooler!

Frank: We used to soak ourselves in fake blood and then we would wake up wet the next day still. We’d be all sticky, me and Gerard would wake up stuck to each other.

Frank: Usually, when we’re playing, me and Gerard can look at each other and no matter what’s going on, I can pull back and go for it.

Frank: Gerard…well, he’s just himself. We talk, we cry…And he’s still Gerard Way.

Frank: That he can be a hero for kids these days, it’s a little funny because I really know what he’s like, you know, he’s a…he’s a huge nerd! But he’s a smart motherfucker and has a lot to say and I can be cool with that; that that’s their hero. (Talking about G. being named Hero of The Year by NME.)

Frank: Gerard, this is probably widely known, but I will assure you, Gerard is as close to genius as you could possibly get.

Gerard: I said to myself fuck art. It wasn’t doing anything for me, anything for people. I said to myself ‘Let me just go and -I guess- make music’ , I had never, like, really done it, so I didn’t know if I was going to be any good at it, I still don’t know if I am. Frank: *smiles* You’re very good at it, Gerard. Gerard: *smiles back* Well, thank you.

Frank: One of the things , I think, I find so fascinating sometimes about Gerard’s lyrics is that, you know, it takes on different meanings when you play them in different ways. (After being asked if he thinks TBP songs can be ‘stand alone’ songs.)

Frank: I knitted him a pair of socks, and rubbed his neck. He liked the socks. (Talking about what he gave to Gerard on his 30th birthday.)

Frank: When me and Gerard were younger, we used to throw Mikey off the porch. Good times.

Frank: (when asked how Gerard’s interest in horror movies and dark imagery affected the rest of the band.) Well, he makes me wear these gloves all the time. *Gestures to his skeleton gloves*

Frank: He(Marc Webb)’s a good kisser, too. Gerard: He’s a very good kisser. *both make kissy faces, 'Helena’ making of the video*

Frank: I don’t go on 'quests’, that’s more of a Gerard’s thing.

Frank: I knew Gerard as the comic-book artist, as Mikey’s creepy older brother, and I remember meeting him at a party and thinking “Wow, this kid’s fucking rad” and we just got along straight off the bat.

Gerard: 30’s not old….30’s like the new 20.

Frank: Yeah….for trees. [laughs] Gerard: for trees!

Gerard: Me and Frank painted the set for “Vampires” together one night, and we got so high from the paint fumes, that we got really sick…we were up till the sun came up.

Frank: We live on each other… we’re in each other’s faces. Gerard: we sleep with each other. Frank: like, 24/7, yeah. I mean, that’s it. It’s us and the world.

Frank: I’d date Gerard.

Frank: Gerard’s been waiting all his life to supply the dance moves to Mama Mia.

Frank: We wouldn’t be able to replace Gerard. (After asked who he would choose to sing in case Gerard was sick.)

Gerard: Frank what happened? Did you have a… did you have an interaction? Frank: Yeah Gerard: You had a fan interaction? How was that? Did he say you were awesome? Frank: Yeah, something like that… Gerard: He said he liked us? Frank: I threw a bottle of water and said “I’ll make it rain” Gerard: Oh, he said he’ll make it rain *sings* I’ll make it rain on them hoes, I’ll make it rain! Gerard: That’s his favorite thing lately, he likes making it rain. With loose change. That’s how Frank Iero makes our- There he go, he made it rain! Rain all over you, man. (Frank and Gerard are watching old videos of the band, a Gerard’ s interview is being showed.) Host: Bob, Frank, Mikey, and Ray are hanging on a cliff. You only have the time to save one. Who do you save? Frank: (guessing what Gerard had answered) Mikey! Gerard: I’d jump too. Frank: AWW! *Hugs Gerard* Very nice! You surprised me. Gerard: Who’s a better friend than me! [laughs] Frank: that’s really good!

(Frank and Gerard are still watching those old videos, a 2004 video of Frank with red hair and a black mohawk is on)

Gerard: *giggles* You look wasted….And look at your hair! Who did that for you? Frank: Uh, I don’t think I did that to myself, I look like a 13 year old punk chick. Gerard: yeah, pretty much!

Gerard: How about you Frank? Frank: Oh, I’m there, baby. (Vampire’s Money intro)

Gerard: I was definitely.. I didn’t get picked on or punched in the face but I was definitely probably trying to be a lot cooler then I was. Probably tripped and fell a lot. For sure. Frank blogs about Gerard:

Frank: Ok so I wanted to write a blog this morning but when I got to the site all I could do was read all of Gerard’s posts….and think how in the fuck does he find the time??? The time to be in this band, write a comic, be a husband, and write hilarious reviews about reality tv?? Not to mention have the time to watch reality tv enough to be able to write hilarious reviews about it? Am I missing something? I mean really, not to mention his posts are fucking gripping, like you can’t put the computer screen down, in fear that you may miss the secrets of the universe revealed to you in the middle of his thoughts about the pick up artist2. My posts are bullshit in comparison. I dare say there have to be multiples, Gerard clones, or robots I’m not sure yet, all I know is that Gerard Way is way too productive for my comfort zone. Something’s up and I’m too busy reading his blogs to find out what it is.

Frank: Hey everyone, guess what! Gerard is looking to buy a trans am! Everyone should try and help him out with his search. If you do find his dream car, but it happens to be inhabited by two sickeningly cute puppies, yknow the kind that belong on the cover of your trapper keeper, and you can’t get them to leave…I will take the puppies, oh and a slice of pizza if you have one. Ok, happy hunting you little bastards.

Frank: Print #1 is entitled “vocalocity”, it is an image of Gerard taken in the spring of this year laying down vocal tracks in Los Angeles. There is something magical that happens when Gerard enters a vocal booth, some of my favorite images I’ve ever captured are of him doing just this. He has the rare ability to convey emotion, ideas, and movement through his voice and It happens to please the ears quite a bit…he sings well…get it? (http://www.mychemicalromance.com/blogs/frank)

Gerard: Frank’ s on the road with Leathermouth and Reggie and The Full Effect so you should go see them and get spit on. Frank: You really have to love someone to…smell them at their worst. Gerard: Yeah! I get pretty gruesome, too.

Frank: This is my favorite song we have ever written. I cannot just superficially listen to this song, I feel it deeply every time I hear it, and I have to try my best to hold back tears. Gerard’s vocal performance is probably one of the best I have ever heard. It’s strong, yet frail, sad, hurt and honest. I am in my favorite band. (Talking about Cancer.)

Gerard: (Talking about giving their action figures as gifts) It’s the present of me! Host: Is there any better gift to give? Frank: Not at all!

Frank: (Talking about giving their action figures as gifts again) Gerard, you’re getting me! Gerard: Really? Frank: Yeah! Gerard: well you’re getting Ray…so! Frank: aw…that’s weird. (link)

Frank: We’re a pretty sexy band. Look at Gerard, he can shake his ass. Hire us and he will shake his ass for you all. He’s bringing sexy back.

Gerard: It springs out of the fabric, like a flower. It looks… it just blooms out like a flower. Frank knows… he’s seen it…. I’m a man, I ain’t got no flower, you know what I’m saying? No flower…well he [Frank] has seen it, and he says it looks like a flower. He’s probably right. (talking about his… package.)

Many people believe that this tattoo Frank has represents Gerard and himself because the birds have on their eyes the same stage make-up Frank and Gerard used to wear. Also, one bird seems to be an Angel, the other seems to be a Devil. Doves can represent an eternal commitment/special bond to someone and be a symbol of devotion to a partnership.

Frank: There is definitely an art to being a front man, and I think Gerard encompasses that. Certain people were born to do that.

Gerard: I loved watching Frank on stage with Pencey Prep. Frank was always all over the place, like a total spazz and brought everything they did to life. My coherent thought was: this guy’s a born performer, he was born to be on stage. So when we realized we needed another guitar, he was a natural choice.

Gerard: So, this is a song (Our Lady of Sorrows) I do believe, Frank, we haven’t played in 5, 6 years. Frank: 5 years. Gerard: 5 years!

Gerard: Aww, look how damn nervous he was! Isn’t he adorable? He’s been practicing all day, I didn’t even know there was a beginning to that fucking song. I mean, Frank’s just the most fucking adorable thing. He’s so cute.

When Iero enters the studio, Gerard greets him with a big smile and a high-five like he hasn’t seen him in years… - from Alternative Press.

Gerard: It think it was Frank. He actually tackled me a lot back in the old days. It’s just like old times. (After Frank tackled Gerard during the making of the video of Famous Last Words, resulting in Gerard breaking his ankle.)

Frank about kissing Gerard:

Frank: Oh, god. [giggles] They’re slimy. Gerard’s lips are slimy.

Gerard about kissing Frank:

Gerard: It’s in such a moment, and the adrenaline is so crazy. I don’t know. He- he doesn’t know, I’m sure. We don’t know! [laughs] We don’t know at all!

Interviewer: Actually, he said yours were slimy.

Gerard: He said mine were slimy? Oh, that’s ‘cause I’m singing!

Host: You guys have a very loyal following…And why do you think that is? What’s the secret? Frank: Uhm.. I think honesty. And a little Gerard doesn’t hurt. Yeah… You spring a little bit of Gerard, and a little bit honesty. And you know maybe a hook here and there. A chorus slipped down underneath, stir it around…There you go.

Frank: Maybe we can walk out in a hug? Gerard: Yes. Frank: Okay. Gerard: We could try. *hug*

Fan: Can you kiss Frank like you did on Saturday? Gerard: Hell no! That is not a command thing, that just happens.

Host: What happened when you kissed Frank, on Saturday? Gerard: Magic; Fireworks…I was just getting even with him. Host: I don’t think we wanna know what he did to you. Gerard: You don’t!

Gerard: I was just feeling it tonight! (commenting on the kiss.)

Gerard defending Frank after a fan sent him a message on twitter complaining about his look:

Host: Does Gerard sleep naked? Frank: Yes, he does. / Gerard: Noo. Wait. What? Frank: You did when you slept with me! [both laugh] Frank: …he told me it had to be that way.

During a gig in 2004: Gerard: You probably came with your best friend… you to turn to that motherfucker, you grab ‘em by the throat and you say, “You’re my best fucking friend, and I would die for you!” *Frank goes to grab Gerard’s throat*

Frank: He was saying some fucked-up shit. Like, 'I’m walking around this venue looking for a pipe to hang myself from.’ And you would laugh….because you kind of felt the same way. (Talking about Gerard’s substance abuse going almost unnoticed.)

Frank: Asshole. I was such an asshole! Uh, delinquent. I was told I was too intelligent for my own good but I don’t know about that. I didn’t like authority and this was at ten! Gerard: Who’s to say you’re not like that now?

Gerard looking at a photo of him and Frank: “The first time I met Gerard (2007) I showed him this picture and was like “I love this photo. It always makes me smile and wonder what’s going on. It looks like you’re stealing Frank’s trophy or something!”

He stared at it closely with his concentration face on for a few seconds and then was just like “I’m pretty sure Frank made an inappropriate comment. *Points to himself* That’s nervous laughter right there.” I may or may not have snorted in front of Gerard Way at that point.

Me: “Oh right! How about Bob? He looks a bit disturbed there in the background. Did he overhear this comment?”

G: “Yeah, he didn’t think it was necessary. That’s usually what happens. *Finger on Frank* Inappropriate comment. *Finger on himself* Nervous laughter. *Finger on Bob* Not finding it funny.” " credits to 321wecametofuck

Frank: I never expected it to be that easy or cut-and-dry. I mean it’s Gerard, we would have given him a million chances. But he’s very strong. He’s never slipped up. He tried to take Nyquil once and I smacked him. (about Gerard’s rehab.)

Frank: I found out today that I can’t say the word choreo-graph. Gerard: yeah! We had an hard time on the train with it. Host: but you just said it! Gerard: almost! Frank: well, I practised for tv. Host: everybody clap for Frankie, he said choreograph very well. Gerard: *claps*

(After Gerard said he can’t help staring at himself in the monitors) Frank: Is it because you think you look sweet? Gerard: No, it’s cause I wanna give everybody a smile. Frank: aww, alright. [laughs].

Frank: Gerard’s too sassy for me too! *both smile* (during a live chat in which a fan wrote 'Gerard is too sassy for me’)

Frank: You know that part at the end of Goonies, where they go into the ship and One Eyed Willie is there and there’s all these jewels and things? You guys would come into our ship and see all this discarded great stuff and say, ‘Too bad these guys died in here and never got the hell out with their loot.’ Gerard: That’s actually the best analogy I’ve ever heard.

Gerard: (Talking about how they started working on Danger Days) I’d just written Na Na and then I whipped it out, we all started working on it together, arranged it, went and did it and then uh- Frank: *giggles and looks at Gerard*

Gerard: …I know, I realized- *smiles and blushes*

Interviewer: So you whipped it out…

Gerard: I whipped it out and then I realized what was happening. *smiles* If Frank starts smiling, he’s picking up something.

Question: Frank, you recently got 'Bookworm’ tattooed on your fingers. What are your favorite books to read and who’s your favorite author?

Gerard: Really? *Peers at Frank’s hands* God, it’s impossible to keep track. *Frank links his fingers together to show off his tattoo* Oh, wow, look at those - they look like some kind of arcane symbol until you put them all together like that. Frank: My twins really love looking at them. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is an incredible book that I am reading at the moment. I think Catcher in the Rye is my favorite book, though I love almost anything by J.D. Salinger. Books are like movies though, I have so many favorites, it varies according to my mood. Gerard: He’s always reading - on planes, on the bus, in the bunk, wherever. I really envy it: he can just tune noise out and read in the middle of the chaos of an airport. I just can’t do that.

Frank: We all used to laugh at Gerard because he had these headphones that blocked out all sound. He called them his 'Shut the fuck ups’.

Frank: I remember going into Gerard’s room one night, and he was reading this book on Hell, and we were talking about morality plays and weird minstrel things, and he was talking about how nobody has done things like that in the modern sense. And then it started to turn into something a little more personal. I don’t think Gerard cannot get attached to things, and it’s hard for him to not want to tell a story, and that’s the artist and the author in him.

Gerard: Frank’s the master of the setlists. Well, he makes really good mixtapes, so he makes a great set and he thinks about everything. He’s great at it.

Frank: *showing a t-shirt designed by a fan with Gerard’s face on it, pretending he doesn’t recognize him* I don’t know who this dude is but- Gerard: He’s very handsome! What Gerard loves the most about Frank:

Frank: Gerard’s a storyteller. He really does tell a story within certain songs and certain elements that come up again in songs that we’ve written around the same time so even on the first record there was this idea to make the art kinda like a movie, to incorporate some things. And that idea came forward with Revenge and you get the tagline and stuff so…

Gerard: yeah, we create words together. We’re lucky enough to get along so well and we all happen to be feeling very much the same things at the same time. (link)

Frank: It’s really fun to get into a small studio and play a song that goes just like *plays* something like that and then have Gerard kinda- *smiles* to sing gibberish in a melody and I really like to work with those vocal melodies that he comes up with, to kinda support those melodies, so that’s my favorite thing to really do.” (link)

Frank: I bought that thing for Gerard on eBay! A Planet of the Apes t-shirt. He’s writing fanfiction, or sequels, for Planet of the Apes and I bought a bunch of t-shirts on this website and when you buy five, the shipping is for free. I needed one more and when I saw this Planet of the Apes shirt I thought I’d buy it for Gerard and get free shipping.
