Hi! I definitely don't plan on discontinuing the story. I can't say when I'll update since right now I'm recovering from major surgery. If someone wanted to write something inspired by it, I definitely don't mind and would appreciate credit given.

You know, the reason The Mummy (1999) & The Mummy Returns are so good is because they are some of the most bisexual movies I’ve ever seen. With healthy relationships, unproblematic faves for both genders, PROBLEMATIC faves for both genders, etc.
But The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and The Mummy (2017) are some of the straightest pieces of crap I’ve ever seen. Rick is suddenly a bad dad? A weirdly sexualized mummy woman? Tom Cruise? Ugh. Just give the people what they want: bi monster movies!

not to undermine any of their skills, but it's interesting to see that Ardeth fought Lock Nah several times before, and Evie fought Anck Su Namun before, all of them doing fancy swordfighting things, but both Evie and Ardeth came out winning the last time after they punched/headbutted their opponent, a move that just screams Rick O'Connell. Rick also does some fancy swordfighting thingy similar to Evie and Ardeth's style when fighting Imhotep, proving that the three of them totally had sparring practice in the ten years between the two movies and spent time together
