Vernon was, as always, incredibly sleep deprived and fell asleep halfway through shaving, only to wake up to the hysterical laughter of Lambert, who quickly devolved into snorting. He gripped Ciri's shoulder, who was doing a marginally better attempt not to laugh at the two old men. "What??" "Vesemir," Geralt grumbled. "We told you. Gweld's haircut was never as popular as you thought it was." "Oh. Well, good thing you wear a hat, lad, isn't it?" Vesemir clapped him on the shoulder, and walked away, as Roche stared in bafflement at everyone laughing at his new haircut.

I bet people make a lot of passes at Roche simply because of his position and access to Foltest. They want favors, information, blackmail material, or just to slum it, and every time Roche tells them to fuck off.

It doesn't matter how hot or powerful they are, he's always like "I don't have time for your fucking bullshit right now" and goes to stand in another corner where he can glare at everyone in peace.

It becomes this running joke in the intelligence community because no one has been able to get their claws into him. Not because Roche is smart or cautious or even loyal. He's just busy being very mad at things.
