When the reaper didn’t know the answer off the top of his head, he immediately consulted his bludgeon. Now, though, the bloodied object was playing dumb; and in Ithaca’s dark mind, he reckoned it deserved a good rest. Enough playtime today.
“In all my YEARS as a spectacle, I have never seen an individ’l so goddamn gaudy.” Why, the younger-looking fella would make quite a trophy on the walls of the reaper’s household-- wherever that may be for the moment.
“Ah’ say. Maybe I know ya’ and my old brain’s failed t’ make the prop-er connections... Does that time t’ time. Fuck the science behind it all.”
