It's honestly astounding how many people do not know that gender is a construct to impose power over women. Gender roles were created by men to control women and it's so easy to see when you understand that. And they are well crafted into girls minds from a young age.
Girls are meant to be quiet (so when they need to shout for help they won't know how or are taken for crazy ones).
Girls shouldn't move so much (so when they need to flee, run from danger men will catch them easily)
Girls should look a certain way (so when they aren't they will self deprecate and become easy to control, buy whatever there is from men so they can appeal to a man)
Girls should put others before themselves (so when they are hurt by men, men's feelings are more important than their)
Girls are meant to be petite (so when there's a threat they won't be able to fight back)
Girls should impose gender roles on each other (so when they say it's men's fault, men say they did it to themselves)

Honestly when I hear people say “not receiving gender affirming surgeries will make me feel suicidal” I hear the same thing as if someone said “if I don’t get a nose job I’ll feel suicidal”
It’s a physical insecurity that wouldn’t exist in a vacuum. I’m sorry that you were influenced to feel this way, but surgery will not fix something that is rooted in self-hatred. If you change it with surgery, you will find another insecurity to fixate on within a week.
Also, can we talk about how rebranding gender affirming surgery as some life-saving procedure is just promoting and glamorising a very misogynistic and corrupt industry.

the differences between men's and womens clothes are so upsetting but i especially hate its effect on swimwear. there is nothing more uncomfortable to me than wearing bathing suits at the beach and pretending i don't notice creepy old guys staring so that i can have a good time. when i told my mom i wanted to wear swim shorts instead, she asked me why i wanted to look like a boy. but you know what really sucks? covering up more isn't even a boy thing: guys objectively wear less to the beach, just trunks or speedos, it's just not as "scandalous" or "sexy" when they do it because only the female body is sexualized 24/7. so annoying. even though not every country disallows women from going to the beach shirtless, in my opinion, no matter where i go, it's either a spectacle for men or taboo.

TRAs outing themselves as pedo apologists. Can’t believe people actually think like this and voluntarily tell on themselves online.

Males in feminist spaces are only there to get laid and chime "not all men!!" after every discourse. They'll say "I respect women😊" then wait for every woman to fawn over them like they just dismantled the eons old patriarchy. A lot of them are fetishists who take female trauma lewdly. None of them have actually done something for women's rights. All talk no action.

I really love this instagram post specifically because the person asking the question is simultaneously making the answer impossible. If they had worded it normally ("Almost all women menstruate - so, why is there still so much stigma?"), the answer would have been obvious - only women menstruate, and because of misogyny, normal female bodily processes are stigmatised. But by not acknowledging this reality in the "info" graphic, we will never reach a conclusion - the question will forever remain unanswered.
So why does menstruation still remain stigmatised? It's disgust towards the female anatomy and the imperative towards women to hide their female physiology. It's the shame and humiliation that is hammered into every little girl's brain when she discovers that she is female, and her realisation that she will have to make her female body appear presentable if she does not want to risk social ostracisation. That's the reason. And unless we understand the direct link between female anatomy, reproductive capability and misogyny, we are never going to solve that problem.
So yeah, that's what we mean when we say that gender-inclusive language is robbing us of our words. That's it.

they've done it guys. They've sunken to new lows. they're defending Chris Chan.
Tumblr media
do you know how I know that Chris Chan is a man? because if he was a woman, people wouldn't be bending backwards and find excuses for his genuinely psychotic behaviour, and he'd be put into an institution years ago
also, Chris Chan wasn't failed by every institution around him, there have been a lot of people genuinely interested in helping him, but he just didn't accept it.

hello miss, why are you against surrogacy? :)
Feel free to send people to this post whenever they ask the same question. ☺️✌🏻
• Surrogacy is a form of sexual slavery, human trafficking, and creates a baby with the full knowledge that the baby will suffer the deep trauma of being separated from its mother. Surrogacy is purposeful creation of traumatised children. Dog moms are allowed to be with their pups for at least 8 weeks, but human babies are separated immediately.
• Most women who do surrogacy are poor and doing it out of financial desperation. It often has terrible implications for their families too.
• Surrogacy pregnancies are high risk because of the extreme amount of medication that need to be taken so that the mom’s body doesn’t reject the fetus who doesn’t have her own DNA. There have even been cases of women becoming infertile after surrogacy.
• It reduces a woman to the state of a brood mare, even the word surrogate is used to eliminate the reminder that this is a woman, a human, not an incubator. Women who do this are often kept under tight control, and the baby buyers are often very demanding of complete control over her body. When Ukraine was invaded, the women were forced to do what their buyers wanted, either be evacuated or remain in one location, separated from family.
The moment they gave birth and were in the buyer’s country, they were sent right back to Ukraine after.
• There's also the fact that pregnancy carries very high risks including death, especially true in poorer countries where this is more likely to be common. Sometimes the baby is born the 'wrong' sex or with a medical condition and then the buyers rejects it. It's important to know that women make babies using their own flesh, blood and bones, not just a bit of DNA. Every pregnancy can be deadly. Only women who want a child and love them should get pregnant because of it, never because they want/need money.
• The bond the mother and child will have will be no different to that of her own related child. It will be extremely traumatizing to see her own child go, even worse when in the contract it’s stated the mom gets to keep having contact with the child but the buyers don’t keep their part of the deal.
• When one woman is for sale, men believe we are all potentially for sale.
Thanks for your question!

So are we just going to pretend that the entire internet didn’t hijack a child’s suicide and fabricate some elaborate hate crime… once the evidence came out with the facts of her death everyone just kind of dropped it because her tragedy wasn’t politically useful anymore. Who cares about yet another depressed teenage girl? Boring.

Just read a long ass post by a TIM complaining that everywhere he goes, "AFAB" people act uncomfortable around him. Tinder dates where they didn't realize until they met in person that he was male, clamming up and ghosting. Getting glares in a "queer" self defense class when he uses the word bitch. Complaining that even at a trans/"queer"/kink positive dance, he went home alone, while his AFAB friends found hookups. A female friend of 14 years who'd fully accepted him as a bi, GNC man, cut him off after he started insisting he was a woman.
The whole thing was framed as the world having a problem with "transfems," but all I could think of was the kind of guy who calls every one of his ex girlfriends crazy. If literally everywhere you go, you make female people uncomfortable, YOU are the common denominator. YOU are the cause. Getting mad that women aren't accommodating and coddling you in just the right way to stroke your ego is the most male shit I've ever read.

so do you nitpick and only acknowledge stuff that makes trans people look bad or are you open to screenshots showing the reality of how terfs act as well?
yes, of course! you can just send them to me :)
you'd just have to take three things into account:
the people in the screenshots have to be actual feminists. People like Posie Parker, who has said that she is not a feminist on numerous occasions, are not "TERFs"
the screenshots have to have at least some support from the community. If you look at the stuff I post, you'll see that I try to include upvotes and comments to show that this is not some fringe opinion, but is actually an opinion shared by a large part of the community. if the posts on your screenshots have one like and two views, it's not something that I'll be interested in discussing.
I'm gonna tell you upfront, I'm not gonna care if it's something like "kill all men" or "join the stats" or something. I mean I'm not in support of a targeted harassment campaign of some random man, but you'll understand that I have different standards depending on which group is making an offensive comment - the group that commits 98 percent of homicides or the group that doesn't. I'm also a white person, and I'm not going to shit my pants if a Black person says something like "white people can go die". I expect males to have the same resilience.
But well, in the end, I'll tell you that I don't nitpick. I always like to play a game where I go to the r/mtf subreddit, sort by "hot", and try to find 20 consecutive posts without some absolutely deranged shit. today I made it to the eighth post, which was:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
if you don't believe me, do it yourself lol. What I post is not a nitpick, it's the average r/mtf post lmao
