Anyone else get annoyed at faery etiquette guides like this that only cover what you don't do? I feel like it contributes to the fearmongering that elemental spirits are all jumping at the chance to scorn and enslave you and it's simply not true. What's the point of making a guide to interacting with the Fae if all you're gonna say is don't do this or this or this like okay but what do you do???
I've always had better luck with taking my cue from nature. The wind will show you where to go. The birds will guide your senses if you listen. If you see an interesting stump or tree compliment it. Most common tree spirits are close to humans and actually like to be thanked and appreciated. Listening is often more important than looking. A genuine smile goes a long way. If you get a trick played on you, laugh it off, it's all in good fun. Faeries appreciate a good sense of humour, childlike wonder, and carefree singing. Let them approach you rather than approaching them. If you close your eyes and rest for a moment, you will hear the whole forest breathe, and feel more connected to Spirit than ever. And as for what you shouldn't do, don't bring your phone! It interrupts your aura and makes you appear more threatening.

Hello hello ! I have a big project for all of us : creating a blessing ! What is this ? From the word « blessing » who is the name of a group of unicorns…a group of mythical creatures…do you get it ? I want to make a big group for all mythkins to come ! Like a pack for therians. I don’t really like the word « pack » since not everyone one of us are therians. For now it will be only virtual but I do really plan that we all will meet irl in a day or another. I want people be in this blessing to support eachother, to create things and express themselves. I want us to be what we really are. I am planning to make a discord server even if I have to learn how. The only thing I can tell it’s that it will be for 15+. But if you are interested please tell me I would love to hear you all !!! And please : re blogs are appreciated. Would you be interested ?

When it comes to meeting new people, I am very much like a dog:
New people should be introduced at a neutral location. If it is my house (territory), I am hostile. They are not yet approved and so I dislike them more. If it is their territory, I am skittish. I do not feel safe in the space of a person I do not know.
New people should be introduced at a neutral time. Please do not drag them along to any established events. I will feel like they are encroaching and I will resent them.
Always announce that you are bringing someone. Do not show up with a stranger without telling me. I am very wary of outsiders and I will not be able to relax.
I really do have that abused dog energy.

lovingly crafted in the Blair Witch style by yours truly, this simple little design can be drawn, painted, scrawled and scratched upon any and all surfaces of your choosing, letting all those around you know who and what is in the area
you could even call it a warning...
or a summoning! what better way to find out if other gobs are in your neighborhood?
sometimes simplicity is best: what we have here is the alchemical symbol for earth (triangle with line at bottom), and the Norse rune Haglaz, which roughly translates to chaos
to my knowledge, there has not been a single symbol devoted to goblins. not historically, not in folklore. and I, for one, think it's about time we got one
