Kahani Khatam Hui Aur Aise Khatam hui,
Ki log rone lage taaliyaan bajate hue..
It's still impossible to believe that you are not here with us anymore, watching you everytime on screen was a delight for me and many of your characters are yet inspiring for me and will always be. Every role every aspect clearly defines you what you did and what you wanted to. I still remember that night when you won Filmfare Award for "Paan Singh Tomar" and we were like
"jo dekhna chahte the wo mil hi gaya" aur uske baad ye kaafila bina thame chalta hi gaya.
At last I just want to Thank you for what you gave us in terms of acting, motivation and all other things which you offered us. It's still a shock for me and I guess it will take time to heal... For sure..
"Pack a pillow and a blanket
and see as much of the world
as you can.
You will not regret it.
One day, it will be too late..
RIP Mr. Irfan Khan ( 1967-2020 )
Bless you with almighty God

"Childhood Is Measured Out By Sounds And Smells And Sights, Before The Dark Hour Of Reason Grows."- John Betjeman.
As we all know that the childhood is the most beautiful and charming aspect of human life cycle. The joy, the humbleness from parents makes you feel like the most joyous child ever. But also there are many stories in which the childhood wasn't the perfect gift for them as they had to face some ugly consequences, sheer moments etc but it is just because of the mindset of a child or the environment in which he/ she is living.
If we talk in terms of Cinema there are certain best examples which can comply the situation in a very short and simple method.
Firstly I would like to say about 1997 film "Life is Beautiful" directed by Roberto Benigni in which Guido Orefice the main character and his only boy child Giosué were forced to move in Nazi detention camps during the 2nd World War along with her wife Dora but they got separated from each other as the camps were having different rules for men and women and so the boy gets to live with his father. During this instead of being scared or frightened Guido plays a role of strong father in order to make his son feel relieved and calm and tells him the fake story that they want to play us a game of approx 1000 points and the winner of this game will get a tank as a prize. As a child's mindset he believes in each of the aspect Guido told him and till the end he was able to save him from the deadly game of life and death.
The other one is beautifully constructed 2008 film "The Boy In The Striped Pajamas" directed by Mark Herman in which the boy named Bruno who is 8 years old (Asa Butterfield) whose father is in German Army gets promoted and relocates the family from Berlin to Nazi occupied Poland where he starts learning about German history and how great the cause which was done by Germans for their country and how are Jews getting dangerous day by day for them and later he gets to meet with a boy of his own age named Shmuel (Jack Scanlon) A Jew who has been withheld in Concentration Camps which was told Bruno as a lie that it was nothing but a farm. Later, while interacting with each other some how they become friends and Bruno tends to realise this that his father is not a good person and they are telling him nothing but just a lie and later when her mother (Vera Farmiga) gets to realise that this place is not good for living and while he gets to meet Shmuel for one last time Bruno finds out that Shmuel father is missing and he decides to go inside the camp to help him finding his father without realising what actual horror is waiting for them inside. I would like to rectify this just by saying The Shower Of Death used by Germans to get rid of the bodies known as Gas Chambers where inmates were forced to go into a room and take a shower in form of some toxic gas.
Thirdly, I would like to say about 2019's precious gem "Jojo Rabbit" directed by Taika Waititi in which a boy named Johannés Betzler aka Jojo Betzler (Roman Griffin Davis) a 10 year old boy who is fond of Hitler and his ideologies was made to join the German Army in order to get prepared for World War II and made him do the various things to make him a tough soldier but unfortunately he wasn't able to do so in short he wants to be a bullet in a shell but scares from getting fired to avoid damages. Later, he finds a Jew hiding in his house and slowly starts realising that all the things which he knew was based on false lies and hidden truth. The innocence of Jojo Betzler in the times of war kept him alive all the time and made him realise that He's Not A Nazi But Only A Kid Wishing to be Accepted. One more aspect I would like to talk here about is Jojo's best friend Yorki (Archie Yates) plays a role of very supportive one in Jojo's journey of leaving the lies and move towards the bright side however he is fighting for Germany but he still obliges Jojo for what he is doing.

Whether love or passion? What would be your answer to this simple question?
Tumblr media
Passion is a thing which makes you feel alive and makes you realise that this is the thing I want to do my entire life whereas love is a strong feeling which makes you feel better with a person whom you want to spend your entire life with, But what if your path reaches to a point with they both intersect and unfortunately you lose something most precious to your heart and get shattered. Here I'm talking about the 2011 movie Rockstar directed by Imtiaz Ali.
Tumblr media
Rockstar here deals with both these aspects of life. A simple, stupid, Delhi boy belonging to a middle class family, studying in the usual engineering college, plays guitar , wants to look cool and is very passionate to become a singer. But neither his cool'ness' nor his singing talent is appreciated. Janardhan (Ranbir Kapoor), a 5.9 feet boy with tight blue jeans and shirt with sweater and his most fluent accent of English goes to propose 'Heer' (Nargis Fakhri) the most beautiful and classy girl of the college because of an advice given by his wise friend Khatana Bhai (Kumud Mishra) that, "Toote hue dil se hi sur nikalta h!".
Clearly depicting the traits of eccentric he acts like his heart has been broken, without any knowledge of being in love, or if love fades aways, its anger, its pain its hollowness, as he was rejected by Heer. The character of Ranbir kapoor is clearly brought in picture within 20mins of the movie being a clearly senseless and stupid yet some traits of trivial Delhi boy. and what happens later in this movie is a great writing and musical experience.
Tumblr media
The character done by Ranbir Kapoor is so intriguing which makes you completely fall for the journey between Janardhan aka Jordan and Heer. The chemistry shown between the two characters is done so amazingly by the writers Imtiaz Ali and Muazzam Beg as they limelighted every aspect of this Janardhan becoming Jordan to Jordan meeting Heer and later what demise Jordan faces. The Cinematography done by Anil Mehta is such a visual treat which makes this film completely compatible with the storyline point of view. The music composed by A.R Rahman and penned by Irshad Kamil experess many ways of a character in this film. As Jordan moves ahead in his life every particular song describes what he is feeling and what he is trying to find. The songs sung by Mohit Chauhan are completely astounding and soothing which makes Jordan's character more powerful along with the writing part. Every cast member of this film has gave his best performance even Piyush Mishra's character is designed as an ugly and rude boss whereas Aditi Rao Hydari shown as a fierce and subjective one. The film recieved an amazing response from the viewers as well as critics which made them bagged Filmfare Awards along with People's Choice Awards.
Name- Rockstar
Cast- Ranbir Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri, Kumud Mishra, Piyush Mishra, Aditi Rao Hydari, Jaideep Ahlwawat and Late. Shammi Kapoor.

SOMETIMES THE BEST GETS CREATED FROM EVEN WORST ONES.
Tumblr media
As a film critic or a movie- buff we always tend to have a series of GOOD CHOICES in terms of films, acting, music etc inspite of looking for bad ones. But what if someone tries to remake the same movie which turns out to be a exhilarating experience of Hollywood.
Here I'm talking about 2017 movie The Disaster Artist (Based On A True Story) Directed and Produced by James Franco.
The plot is set up from early 90s from a journey of two characters Tommy Wiseau (James Franco) and Greg Sestero (Dave Franco) meeting with each other at a Theatre in San Francisco and focusing on their road to hollywood as struggling actors. On one side where Greg is shy about his acting skills, Tommy is fearless and does whatever he wants to do without caring about anything or anyone. Where Greg is struggling with money problems on the other hand Tommy is sorted about his finances and tries to make Greg move with him to Los Angeles as a roommate. After moving to L.A Greg starts to date a girl whom he met in a bar named Amber (Alison Brie) and starts spending time with her which makes Tommy uncomfortable about the situation as he was alone again. Later, after some auditions and parts they find out that it's not an easy task for them to become a Hollywood Big Shot in an ease so Tommy decides to Write, Produce and Direct a film on it's own and gives it a title "The Room" and gives a proposal to Greg as a second lead. After months of struggle the shooting gets starts with a suitable cast and crew. But as the shoot moves forward The crew members starts to figure out that Tommy doesn't know anything about Direction and Acting and is just trying to Rumble himself in Hollywood without any plans. Later on is the story about situations occurred in both of there lives in the movie.
Tumblr media
The direction of the film done by James Franco is simply amazing along with the writing done by Scott Neustadter, Michael Weber and Greg Sestero is quite enough to make you look at the most celebrated failure of that year(The Room), that the Director showcase in this movie. A comedic genre makes it look joyful and enjoyable. The role played by James Franco in the character of Tommy Wiseau is extremely wonderful as he tried every single thing to imitate the guy just like he was in his earlier period. The chemistry shown between Tommy and Greg is such a treat to witness as they always try not give up on each other and see the vision what no other person can see inside them. The whereabouts of Tommy Wiseau's earning and his vision towards the society are still unknown but the mind of James Franco led him to the race of Oscar nominations and bagged himself a "Golden Globe Award" for sure. The other cast and crew gave their commendable performances in their supportive roles and made a line-up of great cast like Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Jackie Weaver, Sharon Stone etc. This movie can be said as a tribute to work done by Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero along with the whole crew but according to me it was some visionary thought showed by director itself to define that "Cinema doesn't have any boundaries" and sometimes bad things can also create history.
Movie- The Disaster Artist
Cast- James Franco, Dave Franco, Seth Rogen, Alison Brie, Jackie Weaver.

SOMETIMES REVENGE IS NOT JUST ABOUT KILLING SOMEONE AND LET HIM FREE FROM HIS SINS RATHER YOU WANT TO MAKE HIM SUFFER FROM SEVERE PAIN, BRUTALITY AND THEN LET GO OFF HIS KNOTS.
Tumblr media
We have always heard about different stories related to crimes, bodies ripping apart, rapes, mass murder, serial killer and after several months police catches the suspect and then everything is left on the courts to decide. But what if the sinner pays for his crimes before going to hell, before actually dying to make him realize the pain he must have caused.
Here I'm talking about 2010's one of the ferocious thriller "I SAW THE DEVIL" directed by Kim-Jee Woon.
The story revolves around three characters Jang-Kyung Chul (Choi-Min Sik), Kim-Soo Hyun (Lee-Byung Hun), and Ju- Yeon (San-Ha Oh) where Ju-Yeon is a fiance of Kim-Soo who is an undercover cop. One day while returning from somewhere Ju-Yeon car gets broke and then Kyung-Chul comes forward to help her and when he tries to do so he takes her to his place and then rapes and brutally murder her but before this she tells him that she wants to live as she was carrying Kim-Soo's baby but Kyung-Chul does what he wanted to and later cuts her body into pieces and then throws it into the nearby stream. After few days of search Police finds Ju-Yeon's body parts into pieces. Kim-Soo is not able to accept this reality that she's no more and decides to find the killer all by himself and later finds that Kyung-Chul is the culprit and had done these type of massacres many times. But inspite of killing or arresting him he decides to cause him the same or even worse pain which Kyung- Chul made Ju-Yeon suffered.
If you are Korean lover you will definitely get to remember Jang-Kyung Chul from Oldboy (2003) directed by Park-Chan Wook and many other astonishing performances given by him. He played the role of serial killer second time and nailed his character once again. Before this he did something same in 2005 movie 'Sympathy for Lady' Vengeance directed by Park-Chan Wook. On the other hand Lee-Byung Hun played a fearless cop and gave his another best shot just like he did in A Bittersweet Life (2005) directed by Kim-Jee Woon itself and The Age of Shadows (2016). The writing done by Kim-Jee Woon and Jee-Min Lee is so fantastic as they kept in mind the same strategic figures for protagonist as well as antagonist in terms of methods used to cause pain, planning etc. Some of you might say that Ek Villain (2014) directed by Mohit Suri is just a spin-off of this "Cult Classic" but according to me it's not it's way different from the Bollywood themed one. The intensity shown by both the characters is so intriguing that you may bite your nails while watching this horrifying thriller. Even the action sequences are so well constructed that will make you wonder "Korean Cinema always does it way differently than others".
Tumblr media
I Saw the Devil (2010)
The Korea Media Rating Board forced Kim-Jee Woon to recut the film for its theatrical release, objecting to its violent content. Otherwise, the film would have gotten a "Restricted" rating, preventing any sort of release in theaters or on home video.
Name- I Saw The Devil
Cast- Lee-Byung Hun, Choi-Min Sik, San-Ha Oh, Ho-Jin Chun, Yoon-Ah Seung.
Year- 2010
Director- Kim-Jee Woon.

I was wondering about both the movies made by the fantastic director of our hindi cinema Imtiaz Ali, i'm very fond of his direction and his contribution in hindi cinema. He always brings somthing new to every movie he indulge to make but these two dialouge have some sort of connection, some significance to meet in a distant place after dying of true love. It is said that true love never dies, and they promise to live together in eternal life. Both these movies, Rockstar and Laila Majnu have seemed to made on this line to reunite after death, there were various conditions or situations that did not let them unite, but their love stood strong and did not fade away because their beloved one is gone, they will wait patiently for their turn to return to the place where they belong, that is, together. And these lines have been followed in both the movies but in a very subtle way and made the audience actually feel the emotion of losing loved one from our life, it is a rare talent.
Hands down to the amazing director 'Imtiaz Ali'.

A BLACK AND WHITE BACKGROUND WITH LOTS OF COLORS TO FIND.
Tumblr media
Web series's these days are getting more popular than the feature on- screen due to it's content, writing, scripts etc. Some of them are focusing on the dark and hidden part of society with some explicit content and are getting more attention these days as they engulf the audience but on the other hand some are trying to offer attention to people's life and their quest for success or you can say the struggle which we all face in our teenage lives. Here I'm mentioning about 2019's one of the finest gem made by TVF named "Kota Factory" directed by Raghav Subbu.
Story starts from a life of an IIT-JEE aspirant name Vaibhav Pandey (Mayur More) who comes to Kota along with his father to take admission in Kota's one of the finest coaching institute "Maheshwari Classes" which has a prominent record for establishing number of students in IIT as rank holders but due to some circumstances he didn't get qualify for the institute so at last he decides to join "Prodigy Classes" and stays in Kota for further studies as he was in XIth standard. While staying in P.G he gets to meet with Balmukund Meena and Uday Gupta (Alam Khan) his batchmates from "Prodigy Classes". While moving on further he meets with Jeetu Sir a.ka "Jeetu Bhaiya" (Jitendra Kumar) who helps him focusing onto his quest to crack IIT and later is the mixup situations and enthralling changes which we all see in our lives.
The name given "Kota Factory" exactly defines the situation which education system is having these days a number of coaching institutes along with countless number of students aiming to crack IIT-JEE every year. Creator of the series Saurabh Khanna decided to keep the background in black and white to showcase the current state of a student's mind which is having a lot of creativity but somehow fears from losing. The most beautiful thing about the show is that we all can co-relate with the situations occuring in Vaibhav's life. Especially the role played by Jeetu Bhaiya as a smart and a perfect mentor for each and every student for gaining their confidence. Even though the characters written for Ranjan Raj, Alam Khan, Ahsas Channa, Revathi Pillai and Urvi Singh are so optimistic that will make you cherish every moment when you will see this amazing "WEB SERIES". The Viral Fever did a commendable job in terms of research, building the characters and lastly the overall concept to see the inner side of student's journey along with inner dimension of education system. The chemistry shown between Vaibhav, Meena and Uday are so intriguing you will surely get to remember your times of struggle and if you are still in that age especially from Science/ Maths stream it's a visual treat for you to witness. Many of my friends are from Kota and when they watched "Kota Factory" they shared the same thing which they experienced while living and surviving in Kota. The pressure, the environment, the life of students in P.G everything was every similar for them. The shots along with the cinematography is shown in a quite realistic manner by Jerin Paul and Abhijeet Patil as they've focused on every minute detail while playing the sequences either they are from institute or other locations.
Tumblr media
The series got so much hyped that it led to bagged the Best Director and Most Popular Actor in MTV "IWM Buzz Digital Awards".
Name- Kota Factory
Cast- Jeetendra Kumar, Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Alam Khan, Ahsas Channa, Revathi Pillai, Urvi Singh.

SOMETIMES EXCESSIVE NEEDS DEVELOPS A GREED IN YOU WHICH COULD LED TO CONSEQUENCES IN SOMEONE ELSE'S LIFE.
Tumblr media
Life is all about struggling, loving supporting each other during tough times but what happen if that life crosses your path from lie, betrayal, heartbreak which makes you something else you never thought of becoming. Here I'm talking about 2019 movie "Parasite" directed by Bong-Joon Ho.
The Story revolves around one family A father, mother along with boy and girl. Ki-Woo (Choi-Woo Shik) is a young man in the family who wants to pursue further studies by having college life so that he can fulfill his dreams but due to lack of money he isn't able to achieve it. The condition showcased is so worst that they have to borrow a wifi connection from their neighbours to use internet and by folding pizza boxes for the Pizza Delivery Company to have some earning. Later, Ki-Woo's friend offers him to take over a student as an English Tutor as he has to go foreign for his further studies. By creating a fake diploma and background story with the help of his sister Ki- Jung (Park-So Dam) he gets himself into a rich family where he becomes the tutor of Da-Hye (Jiso-Jung) daughter of wealthy CEO and head of the family Park-Dong Ik (Sun-Kyun Lee) along with his wife Park-Yeon Kyo (Yeo-Jeong Jo). Later by manipulating and through gaining confidence of (Park Family) every single member of Kim family enters in their house as a tutor, driver as well as housemaid. Everything goes smoothlyh for the family until one day something strange happens with them which no one would've thought and their perfectly executed plan starts to fall.
Tumblr media
Bong-Joon Ho is a master of Korean cinema as we have witnessed before in Snowpiercer (2013) and Okja (2017). He likes to build a complex situations for his characters to make them more enhanced and powerful but in "Parasite" he used every genre through which a cinema can be associated. Bong-Joon Ho and Han-Jin Won gave utterly beautiful of their works in constructing this overwhelming journey between two classes. Some of critics didn't liked it becuase of mix-up genres and duration but for me its 2019's one of the masterpiece which is written so beautifully and even from the preception through which the actors gave their efforts to construct this shocking experience for everyone. If you haven't seen this masterpiece, i would highly recommend you to see it as there are many hidden aspects and clues in this movie that can keep you wandering.
Name: Parasite
Cast: Choi-Woo Shik, Park-So Dam, Yeo- Jeong Jo, Kang-Ho Song, Sun-Kyun-Lee, Jeong-Eun Lee

YOUR LOVED ONES WILL ALWAYS VOUCH FOR YOU NO MATTER WHAT SITUATION OCCURS.
Tumblr media
Some of us believe that their parents don't love them as they are always busy in their works and don't have time to do anything else but in everyone's life there maybe a moment during which no one will have your back except your parents or brother/sister. I'm talking about 2016's one of the finest "Zombie Apocalypse Survival" name "Train To Busan" directed by Sang-Ho Yeon.
Story starts from a "Jinyang" Check-Post where a vehicle gets stopped by some patrolling members as they extinguish his vehicle and tell him that an incident happened in some Biotech Lab near "Ansan" but he argues and they let him go while moving forward he instantly hits a deer from his vehicle firstly it didn't made a single response as he was dead perhaps but after 45 seconds later he stood up covered in blood stains. After this the story focuses on Seok Woo (Yoo Gong) a guy who works in a Stock Market hustling for his targets etc gets a call from his ex-wife regarding their daughter's birthday Su-an (Su-an Kim). After reaching home Seok presents her daughter her birthday gift the same one he gave her before which makes her more upset and then request Seok that she wants to celebrate her birthday with her mother in Busan. He agrees with Su-an and then leaves to catch a train. While boarding on KTX 101 which is bounded to Busan they find themselves in deep trouble as something weird starts happening, people start killing by biting each other which turns them into Zombies and this later turns into a living nightmare all over country. Rest is the story on how they will survive by not giving up on each other and staying together and fighting to stay alive.
Tumblr media
The story written by Joo-Suk-Park and Sang-Ho-Yeon is exceptionally amazing as it is based on some true incidents happened in Busan both of them gave it a raw imagination which made it look horrifying and deadly. The train shots along with the CGI is done carefully and beautifully by Chansoo Kim. We have witnessed many of Zombie thrillers like Shaun Of The Dead (2004), Dawn Of The Dead (2004), World War Z (2013), Walking Dead (2010). But Train to Busan offers something else in relation with character's emotions between each other, Actor's have done commendable job in their respective roles either playing the role of Humans or Zombies.
Name: Train to Busan
Cast: Gong-Yoo, Ma-Dong Seok, Yu- Mi Jung, Su-an Kim.
Director: Sang-Ho Yeon.

SOMETIMES FOR SEEKING RIGHTEOUSNESS YOU HAVE TO PAY A PRICE, EITHER LIFE OR DEATH.
Tumblr media
When life gets unfaithful to you what would you do? Be the same until it gets hard day by day or would you change for better good, something you've never known in your entire life but during your last days you make efforts to rise and shine like heroic figure even when death is on your doorstep. Here I'm talking about 2008 movie "Gran Torino" directed by Academy Award Winner "Clint Eastwood". The film starts from a funeral ceremony of Walt Kowalski's (Clint Eastwood) wife Dorothy (uncredited) where it's been clearly shown that the relationship between Walt and his family does not have good terms with each other and Walt doesn't want to continue with them anymore. He lives in a neighborhood where several Hmong people's (from East and South-Asia) live as they don't have much bonding in between them and Walt himself is a 'Korean War Veteran'. Later an incident tooks place in which local Hmong gang members forces one of his cousin Thao (Bee Vang) to steal Kowalski's "Gran Torino" but unable to do so. After this they again force Thao to do the same thing but he refuses and gets humiliated by them infront of his family and others. Later Walt takes action on this and saves Thao after they bring this to his area of property. Later what happens is the further story which describes the upper quote.
Tumblr media
The role played by Clint Eastwood is quite different than his other performances as an old man irritated, tough-minded, suffering in his own agony describes what it is to be alone in this cruel world without someone who vouches for you all the time, hold your hands, cares for you. Even the situations shown during some sequences in the movie clearly states the relationship between father-son and his family with their grandpa is just limited to his vintage things after he dies. The screenplay as well as story written by Nick Schenk (The Judge- 2014), (Narcos- 2015) and Dave Johannson is amazing and ables to hold the grip of Gran Torino's whole journey. Thao (Bee Vang) and Sue (Ahney Her) attempted their best to describe the characters perfectly.
Movie- Gran Torino
Director: Clint Eastwood.

FUN NEVER STOPS IT'S JUST BUNCH OF RESPONSIBILITIES GIVING THEM A PAUSE.
Tumblr media
We always remember our childhood as one of the special memories, bunch of friends playing, fighting, celebrating, caring, teasing etc. But what happens if they have to move far away from you or some other reason takes them away from you and the fun and friendship
in your life reaches a full stop. What would you do, to bring them back together once again and reunite the memories for the final time. Here, we are talking about '2013' movie "Last Vegas" directed by Jon Turteltaub.
The movie is about four childhood friends Billy (Micheal Douglas), Sam (Kevin Kline), Paddy (Robert De Niro) and Archie (Morgan Freeman) calling themselves a "Flatbush Four" and after 58 years Billy (Micheal Douglas) calls Sam (Kevin Kline) and Archie (Morgan Freeman) to tell them that he's getting married with his fiancee who is 31 years old and have to throw a Bachelor Party for them in Las Vegas as one final trip. Tumblr media
Director Jon Turteltaub who is famous for his National Treasure (2004- 2007) did something quite different this time with having some powerful cast from the Hollywood's golden period of all time. Everyone gave their best especially the rivalry shown between Billy (Micheal Douglas) and Paddy (Robert De Niro) makes you hold to watch this joyful ride. Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline nailed their performances by giving us some joyous moments and the spirit of holding them all together. A ROAD TRIP FILLED WITH LOTS OF HAPPINESS AND MEANING OF LIFE.
Tumblr media
"Let Go of Yourself" Believe me or not but this is the best tagline for this movie. Yes, i'm talking about 2011's one of the most remarkable piece given by Indian Cinema titled "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" directed by Zoya Akhtar. According to me it is one of the few bollywood movies which stucks in your mind even after this never-ending journey reaches to it's final destination (a.k.a) climax. The story revolves around three friends Kabir (Abhay Deol), Imran (Farhan Akhtar) and Arjun (Hrithik Roshan). Kabir who is going to get marry with Natasha (Kalki Koechlin) plans a bachelor trip to Spain with a challenging twist. Now comes, the serious part where each character is having personal issues which they don't want to share until the time comes on the trip.
Actors did their jobs extremely amazing as Hrithik's serious looks made him a show stealer but as the film moves forward we will see Farhan Akhtar as a charming one. Abhay Deol's role as Kabir makes him perfect for this film. Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin attempted there best to keep the characters "Laila and Natasha" alive till last.
Tumblr media
The writing done by Farhan Akhtar and Reema Kagti is charismatic in every aspect which signifies what life is with friends and love. This movie gave millions of Indian's a "Bucket List" to add which is, a road trip together with friends in a foreign place. This movie beautifully tells the tale of these three friends and how their life unfolds later, one can easily attach to any of the three characters as being an adult you don't have time for yourself how can one manage to make time for friends. But this movie is engaging, makes us explore every emotion and joy of the trip. And the best part is the poetries of Farhan Akhtar brilliantly written by Javed Akhtar that is very relatable and makes the emotion of the character reach to the audience.
Film- Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
Cast- Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, Kalki Koechlin, Deepti Naval, Naseeruddin Shah.
Genre- Drama/Romance
Director- Zoya Akhtar

ONLY TIME CANNOT BE THE HEALER, SOMETIMES IT'S ALSO YOUR FAMILY AS A SUPPORT SYSTEM.
Tumblr media
When it comes to family there are many films which signifies a strong attachment, relationship between them like: The Godfather, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, My Left Foot etc as they have left a great impact on cinema. There is this one film which no one mentions but still shares a high affinity between family. I'm talking about David O Russell's 2012 directed 'Silver Linings Playbook', based on a novel by Matthew Quick. David O Russell has both written and directed this variation in a romantic genre which clearly describes that both characters are deeply damaged and medicated.
After spending a term in a mental institution former teacher Pat (Bradley Cooper) moves back in with his parents and tries to reunite with his ex-wife. Things get more challenging when Pat meets Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) a secretive girl with problems of her own. Rest is based on what happened with him and why the plot was started from some mental institute, i would not like to provide any kind of spoiler here but just a general idea, as i would appreicate the audience to watch this film, as it is a love story with a different concept. He lives in a paranoid world, if he tries to give himself sometime to relaxe and bloom again as a person without causing some episodes related to his illness, everything will work out perfectly. But, unfortunately he is too sick and rebellious to admit it. Same as with Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) whose husband was killed tragically which made her mentally ill and the only common part which puts Pat and Tiffany on the same road.

Beyond from these there is a moment in which Pat (Bradley Cooper) and Pat Sr. (Robert De Niro) had a fight in between them as Pat Sr. sees that his son is not alright and whatever happened with him made him quite a rebel against everyone. Nowadays finding better love stories with strong connections, chemistry between actors and most importantly a better writing are getting rare at some points.
As we know some of them can be considered as masterpieces or classics but the problem is they are not getting what a big masala films are getting these days the hype, the publicity etc.
We are going to talk about 2008 film Love "Aaj Kal" directed by Imtiaz Ali. The movie focuses on Modern day love story along with 90s age love stories side by side. It is a fresh, refreshing and ahead of it's time. I really liked the idea of showing two parallel love stories as a sign of an amazing film-making because generally audience gets bored or annoyed during some parts when they are watching a love stories on big curtains but Love "Aaj Kal" will keep you hooked from start till it's end.

The vintage love story is very heart touching it may bring tears in your eyes as the connectivity is absolutely brilliant and was necessary too for making the story more fantabulous. Saif did a great job as playing a role of Punjabi guy as compare to modern one's. While playing a Punjabi guy I felt that dialogue deliveries and expressions were just perfect as we can feel the connection, pain as well as anxiety. Deepika Padukone gave her best as a passionate actress she is, about her work and was trying to figure out whether she is in love with Saif or it's just some kind of attraction between them. The Screenplay and Cinematography of this film are backbone of this film as wherever it feels like that the storyline is getting overshadowed screenplay and cinematography saves it in a very well manner.
The songs of this film are another aspect which you should opt as a plus point for this film as they are quite engaging and connective for the film. The way in which they got shot is amazing and charming the color background during the old era and new one is made very clearly which does not leave you in any doubt. The music director's Pritam and Salim-Suleiman gave their one of the best works of there lives as the lyricist was Maestro and Imtiaz Ali's only gem Irshad Kamil who has a power of grasping audiences mind with his writing.
