Hello, my good peeps, happy World Autism Awareness Day and Month to you all! As many of you might already have figured out, webcomics are a special interest of mine. I've always been hyperlexic and greatly enjoyed the process of reading, but was a bit more specific in my genre interests. When I got into comics, though, I became fascinated with the medium and any of the stories it could tell.

While I enjoy taking in the stories people share with me, communicating things to others isn't something I would consider my strong suit. I often find writing to be a slow process and finding the right words or phrasing very difficult. It often leaves me distressed and frustrated since I don't always feel fully understood.

Through my database, however, I get the opportunity to show exactly how much I love a story, not through my own words but by action. I get to excitedly share the stories I love in a shorthand unique to me and a process that many find repetitive or overwhelming but I find deeply enjoyable. It's far from perfect, I'm always trying to make changes and add to my collection, but ultimately it's Mine.

Not everyone is going to fully understand it and that's ok, but I do hope my personal brand of expression makes the love I feel shine through. I've collected thousands of series over the years and the link above will give you a portion that include other autistic and neurodivergent characters. May you find a story that brings you a bit of joy today!

I stole a photo from my mother's instagram account to use as a reference ^^ she takes wonderful nature photographs!
