Exploring the village of Lake George, New York in the Adirondack Park. The weather is a bit wet and gloomy but the color is still outstanding.

Trying to make the best of a layover in Horseheads, NY. Yes, I said Horseheads. What a name! We are here hanging out at the Cummins dealer hoping to get our generator fixed. They ordered some parts yesterday, they came in today, but it didn’t fix the problem. So they are trying to figure it out now.
The big story is what happened last night. The shop allowed us to park on thier property and use their electric overnight. Believe it or not, while we were sleeping, someone stole one of our E bikes off the rack on the front of our truck! We called the police this morning and they are doing what they can. Whoever it was left the tools they used to break into our locks. It almost looked like they got interrupted before they could remove the second bike. Who knows! We checked with insurance and it isn’t covered. Nice huh? The folks here at the shop said they park things out there overnight all the time and never had a problem.
Oh well, I hope we get the generator fixed today and maybe even get our bike back. I suspect both will be a miracle!
The good news is that the folks here at Cummins and the local Police have been very nice and helpful. Meanwhile, we are trying to stay busy. See photos. The maples are a beautiful gold! Abby was P1 at the BMX track. LOL

Here’s another view from my camper window. You can tell it is fall in New York State! It’s a bit gray today so the colors don’t come through in the photo too well.
We are at a Harvest Host site near Nineveh, NY. It’s a farm for rescued horses and other equines. A pretty spot out here in the country. Really enjoying the fall colors on the hills.
The plan is to head further north into New York and end up in the Adirondack Park today. Looking forward to seeing the Adirondack mountains.
We will have to make a stop to have some maintenance done on our generator. Hopefully it is an easy fix. It’s always something!

The New England trip continues!
Well, as many of you know, we attempted a New England trip in May of this year but our camper didn’t cooperate. We spent about a month on the road, made it as far north as Gettysburg, PA and had to return home in late June due to the rear slide-in breaking on us.
We enjoyed a hot summer at home waiting for the camper to be repaired. Fortunately it was warranty work! We finally got it back in late September.
So we are back on the road, headed back to New England to see the leaves. Last time we planned to go as far north as Maine. This time I think we will stop in Vermont.
Last night we stayed at a great little RV park called Twin Bridges in Chambersburg, PA. It is located in the middle of farm country, beautiful trees, a little creek running through the campsite area. The leaves are changing and are red, orange and gold, the fields of soy beans are gold and everyone has their pumpkins and scarecrows out. I love fall!
Here’s a couple pictures near our campsite. You can see the creek in the background. We didn’t want to leave.

It’s crazy to think that I have known this woman for over 50 years. Now that’s a friendship. So grateful!

Spending time with friends and family in Maryland over the last week. We have parked the Lance at my Aunt’s house in Glen Burnie, Md.
We have also been working with Cummins in Manassas, Va. to get our Onan generator repaired before we head further north. The travel back and forth between Glen Burnie, Md. and Manassas, Va. is horrendous! We’ve made the trip twice now and not looking forward to doing it again but Cummins still hasn’t figured out what’s wrong. They have multiple techs looking at it. I hope they figure it out this week. We are planning to continue north on Saturday.
We were able to do some sight seeing in Manassas last week while we were there. The Manassas Battlefield Park at Bull Run was a great visit. We walked the trail over the infamous Stone Bridge at Bill Run. It’s amazing when you think about all that occurred and all that gave their life for the cause at these historical locations. Where would we be if they didn’t? Check out the Stonewall Jackson statue overlooking the battlefield at Manassas below.

Spending a few days at the Delaware Seashore State Park just south of Rehoboth Beach. Nice beach, nice park…campsites are a bit close together but beyond that a great spot. We are located at the south inlet between the Atlantic and the Indian River. We have enjoyed watching the boats come and go. The weather was perfect today, sunny and mid 70’s. We caught a few rays today on the beach. Tonight it is breezy and in the 60’s. We are outside enjoying the breeze and the sangria. Cheers!

Hi all! We have begun our summer road trip for 2023 in our Lance 1172. Last year it was Alaska (check out our blog on Tumblr), this year we are exploring New England. We started out on May 22nd from Florida and have made our way up thru the south, made a few stops to visit friends and are now in Maryland. We are visiting Assateague State Park on the Assateague National Seashore on the east coast of Maryland. It is home to a herd of wild horses. A group of them visited our campsite shortly after we arrived. It made our day. So awesome! This park is beautiful. Make a point to visit if you can.

The 2023 hunting season in Alabama is almost over. We have had a great time being in the woods and hanging out with good friends. Both Mike and I got a buck this year and are now hunting for that trophy. Just saw this good looking boy! What a joy to watch…

Hi all. The adventure continues…We have been back from our Alaska trip for quite a few weeks now. We had a chance to rest up and are now back in action.
Deer hunting season has begun and we are in Alabama getting things ready to go. It is chilly - in the 40’s. We were out and about today getting the feeders going. We took some time to sit, relax and enjoy the hunt yesterday evening. We hunted till dark. I saw a couple rabbits and saw a young 4 point buck come in at dusk. I enjoyed watching him and let him continue on this way. Mike saw a few squirrels. Hopefully we will be able to show you some great wildlife videos this season. See below for a photo of our camp here in Alabama and a view from the spot where I was sitting last night.
Stay tuned and explore more…

It’s day 92 and we are back on the road Florida bound after a wonderful visit with our daughter and family in Trent, Texas. We stopped in Louisiana for the night at the Cypress Bend Park near Many, Louisiana on the Texas/Louisiana border. What a beautiful little spot on the Toledo Bend Lake. Check out the sunset!
