people are allowed to leave you. people are allowed to break up with you. people are allowed to love you but not want to be with you. people are allowed to not want to talk to you. people are allowed to put their happiness before yours and do what makes them happy even if it does not include you. people are allowed to move on from you. people are allowed to fall in love with someone else. people are allowed to not want you in their life. people are allowed to do whatever they want to better themselves and become the version of themselves they are trying so hard to love. don’t be bitter towards someone who is only trying to be happy.

It’s so depressing when I spend all year working so hard in school and spending so much time around it that I barely ever get to heal or socialize and then to find out I’m not even passing. And the question is never “is this worth it?” but “can I even do this?” “what happens if i’m rejected?” I’m used to failure, but I don’t think this is one I can deal with :(

abusers will always find a way to make you look like the bad guy, no matter what the situation. if someone continues to demonstrate with their words or their actions that they don’t have your best interests or your wellbeing in mind, they don’t deserve to have access to your time, your energy, your body, your mind, or your space. don’t let anyone make you feel guilty for blocking them, for removing them from your life, or for moving on. you have every right to set boundaries that protect you, and you’re not a bad person for doing so.

Even if you’re unemployed, even if you’re taking time off from school, even if nobody is calling and making plans with you, get out of bed, take a shower, put on clean clothes, wear some cologne or perfume, turn all the lights on, do some laundry, clean up a little bit.

Doing all this stuff causes a shift in your perspective. Do it in spite of your situation.

That’s the only way to create sustainable happiness, because if your behavior is dictated by your circumstances, you’re always going to be miserable. Don’t let the world determine your mindset. Let your mindset determine how you view the world.
