What “traditionalists” on Tumblr think of lesbians

So, background: I found the blog @misogynistdaddy and noticed that, unlike a lot of traditionalist blogs that ignore non-cishet identities, he was posting a lot of lesbian porn (but in the captions framing it as a performance for men). I sent him an anonymous message letting him know that I was a lesbian and didn’t appreciate cishet men trying to invalidate my sexuality as performative. He apparently decided that the appropriate response to that criticism was to devolve completely into a pile of quivering rage-hate, and made the following post. I edited it to remove the 15 porn gifs he intermingled with the text, but the remaining material is still incredibly horrifying.  This isn’t a funny post, and I’m not gonna try to devalue it with my one-liners and shit this time. This is real, and never want to hear kinksters telling me that their misogynistic fantasies exist in a bubble ever again.

I’d like to encourage you guys to reblog this, if just to let other people know that there are people that really think like this.

Another fucking thing about kinksters. They think that they’re oppressed and going against the mainstream, being rebellious or whatever. No. All they are doing is taking patriarchy to it’s logical and terrifying conclusion, the torture of women for male gratification.

I am a mother. I was in a heterosexual relationship during my early twenties. The reason why I am so passionately against DDLG is because I know for a fact that my daughter’s father had looked at DDLG material at some point before I left him (he did not share this with me, but I spotted some on his web history). I tried to raise concerns, but my daughter was legally compelled to continue to visit him for unsupervised contact. To what should surprise no one, he molested her when she was four years old…possibly even before that. The link between DDLG kink and actual pedophilia isn’t theoretical for me - it’s the nightmare that I have to go through every day of my life.

So, respectfully? Fuck you.

Fuck you and every other adult out there that fetishises my daughter’s abuse. Fuck every adult that treats my daughter’s horror as a kink or a sex game. Fuck you for knowing that your SO is aroused by the aesthetic, behaviours and helplessness of childhood, but having a child with him anyway.

DDs do not ‘respect consent’. They are aroused by the idea of molesting someone who is incapable of consent. That is the whole basis of the kink. It’s a pedophilic child abuse fantasy.

Simulated pedophilia is still pedophilia. How is a DD any different to a non-active pedophile? What separates the sexual fantasies of a DD from those of a pedophile? What is the difference????

Your child’s safety is at risk here, and if you can’t recognise that and get them out of this then you are not fit to be a mother.

It’s crazy how radical feminists are called terfs. Like that’s not what we are, that’s just a made up word other people decided they are. terf meaning “trans exclusionary rad fem” like wtf. Radical feminists goal doesn’t revolve around transgender people or their rights. It’s not so much excluding trans people, but focusing on females. The black lives matter group isn’t excluding other races, they’re just focusing on black lives. 

Just because a movement isn’t for you, doesn’t mean they hate you. 

I wish people understood how severely completely normalised things actually hurt women. Like makeup culture has led to a view that women’s natural faces are dirty, unkempt, unprofessional. Mainstream porn has not just normalised but sexualised violence against women, and it’s normalising sex work, pushing people to disregard that 90% of prostitutes want an escape. The completely accepted idea that women are just overly emotional and exaggerate pain leads to women getting worse medical care, which can and has killed women. 

If people understood how many fundamental parts of our society had to change if not disappear completely just for us to live in the society they believe we’re already in then maybe they’d stop thinking that “radical reordering of society” means putting men in concentration camps. 

every now and then my boyfriend will wear a skirt and sometimes makeup for a party or something and because of this my 16 year old sister asked me if he identified as nonbinary. how are we supposed to get past gender stereotypes if every time someone doesnt conform to them they have to renounce their sex? let men wear skirts and women wear suits and whatever the fuck else without saying they arent men and women like how do these people not see how regressive and sexist this kind of thinking is :(

I seriously don’t understand the cognitive dissonance and mental gymnastics progressive people do to defend porn. Like, the big majority of them will fully recognize the affect media has on society. If you say something like “the lack of fat women on TV creates unrealistic expectations on women”, most will nod along. If you say “always portraying gay people dying by the end of a show will factor in the isolating feeling of lesbians and gays”, they’ll agree. But if you say “porn makes society see women as sex objects that exist exclusively for male pleasure” suddenly it doesn’t make sense? Suddenly porn is something completely apart and separated from consumed media and somehow impossible of influencing anyone? The same logic can not be applied because… what? 🤔

My college has a problem with men dominating the gym space and making it a very uncomfortable place to be as a woman. Men have been taking pictures of women working out. Very very few women use the gym as result. I was discussing this with another women and said that I didn’t understand why they didn’t just designate a part of the gym for women only. She said, “having a women only space would be exclusionary” and we should have a “quiet space” for “everyone”. Women are being sexually harassed and yet we are still expected to put male feelings first?

Whether transactivists like it or not - Radical Feminism NEVER LEFT Melbourne. Sending solidarity to the women there who faced nasty, targeted harassment this International Women’s Day and rose above it!
