"Hmm..you are right about that." She thought it over with a slight nod and laughed. "I think I'll hold back on the shots...I'll limit myself to what...like five? Maybe four."

“I have to admit for an old man I enjoy some of that younger heavy metal music.” He shrugged some, “Something about it speaks to the soul and makes you feel like someone understands.” He paused, before a bigger grin formed on his face. “Can't deny it’s yourself if you can see your face. You'll just have to come up with some very creative ways around it.”

"That is definitely one way to explain it, Sahara Desert." Esme clapped her hands together smiling. "because honestly that is what it taste like. Please give me water to add with this dry as hell wine."

“Definitely not just you, honey. No one understood why.” Ann chuckled as she took another little sample sip. “I'm sure someone likes them somewhere but their mouths must be drier than the Sahara desert.”

"Honestly yeah, it's quite heartbreaking. Kind of makes you think, what or who made them that way you know?" Esme shrugged, everyone had their reasons she knew that, but she figured why not chase after your dreams when life was so short. She always tried to think the bright side of things, no matter the circumstance.

I'm not like thirty nine, but I'm closer to forty than I am to thirty, so I've just decided to accept fate" Nelson mused with a small smile as he thanked her for the compliment before it turned into another teasing smile " Oh man now all I need is everyone to look at me without glasses on" He added before agreeing with her. "Yeah, my skin's a virgin...well if we count piercings then not really a virgin but you know." She grinned, laughing lightly. Hearing Gilly talk about her own tattoo experiences was cute, but could she see herself getting one? Not really, she figured it wasn't exactly her style or she can't pull it off. "I mean I had thoughts but I always figured it doesn't fit my...aesthetic."

"Wait. You're shitting me. Not one?!" Gillian looked at her in shock, lips parted as she sat up quicker and shook her head. "Es, dude. We need to remedy this. Most places won't mess up if you go to someone reputable." Gillian moved then, holding her hand up and showing the faded sun done on her finger. "My boyfriend did this for me years ago when he got into stick-poking. I gave him a matching one, and we are not reputable. But." She moved again, showing her upper arm that had a cute cactus on it. "This was done at the shop here in town, and it's nice. And professional." Another matching she had with Asher, a thought that made her expression soften a bit. "Have you never even thought of getting one? Like, ever?"

"Really? Here I thought it was my charming personality." She teased, laughing lightly. "But thank you, I try to remain optimistic, even to myself. Somedays it is hard, but still find a way to work through it." Thinking back to the few times she almost gave up on her studies to being a vet. She was almost there, just another year or two and she'll be able to start practicing fully at the local vet in town.

Esme leaned against the table as she thought over what she has been doing, the only exciting thing she was about was getting a new iPad for taking notes but she doubt Theo would want to hear about that. Instead she shrugged and grinned, "I had a terrible date the other date, the dude was so upset about his dog dying, I guess I said the wrong thing and he was a weeping mess. So if that doesn't sum up my life then I'm not sure what to tell you Theo."

Theo smiled warmly, raising his glass to meet Esme's. "Here's to boring lives and fun conversations," he echoed, clinking his glass against hers. "And thank you, Esme. That means a lot coming from you." He took a sip, his eyes holding a touch of nostalgia. "You know, I've always admired your optimism. Even when things were tough, you always managed to find a silver lining. It's good to see that hasn't changed."

Theo leaned back in his chair, relaxing into the moment. "It's funny how life turns out, isn't it? We both ended up in places we never expected. But I'm glad we can still catch up like this." He glanced at her with a hint of mischief in his eyes. "So, tell me, Esme. What's been keeping you busy these days? Any exciting adventures or just enjoying the peace and quiet?" @esmemaxwcll

Esme couldn't help but to laugh lightly at his response, shaking her head at him as she couldn't hold back the smile on her face. She took it as a compliment, especially after creating a workout that had her wishing she stuck with cardio after taking almost a month break.

"Yes, you're safe to post it. I won't be coming after you." She reassured him.

Warner looked the blonde up and down, rubbing at the nape of his neck with his free hand. “I don’t think you have much to worry about in that department.” He flashes the blonde a quick smirk, a soft chuckle escaping his lips.

“I’m safe to post these then?" He would hate to post them without her approval, he made that mistake once and his Instagram comments were deadlier than a Target on Black Friday.

"I guess I never had the chance to watch any of it," Esme admitted, she always had such a hectic schedule, something to keep herself busy. If she sat too long, she'd grow restless and it was a feeling she didn't like. From a young age she always found herself busy with something whether it was something small or huge. But the thought of Jurassic Park movie franchise never crossed her mind. "Maybe we can have a movie night and I'll sit through it just to see what the hype is about." She offered smiling.

She was mostly a romcom type of girl, but she did watch the newest Jurassic park movies and they were good, so she figured the older ones are probably just as good, just with crappy CGI effects maybe. Esme chuckled lightly at Paxton and shakes her head, "I'm talking about creativity like...if you gave me a pen and paper and told me to draw a dog, that dog will look like a deformed bunny." She laughed lightly, "But organization is my skill, I can organize anything given to me--maybe I should've been an admin assistant instead of becoming a vet."

The mention of All Nighter did sound delicious, it was until now she realize she was actually pretty hungry. "That sounds good to me to be honest." She agreed, slowly starting to walk along to look at the paintings some more. "Not going to lie, I think I could see my grandmother owning one of these paintings just because she can."

Paxton’s jaw drops open with a gasp. “None of the old ones? But Dr. Alan Grant is the best main character. And Ellie Sattler.” He doesn’t mention the nineties version of Jeff Goldbum making an appearance, the first two characters are more important to the entire thing than anything else.

“I just create to entertain. We all enjoy all kinds of media, it’s always been fun Poetic might not be the word he’d use to describe himself. “I’m sure you are, just in your own way.” 

Her dress, her home decor, the way she presents herself to the world. There are so many ways he could list how she could be. Then he wonders, has Esme always thought this about herself. Maybe somewhere in his memories, from when they were friends in high school, to when they briefly dated then decided ‘no, let’s not’, up to now…

He almost asks if she’s comparing her creative talents to his own, which Paxton thinks is an unfair thing to do to herself if she is. The question falls off when the focus becomes food. “Yeah. Of course! The cafeteria here probably has lunch food style servings, so why don’t we hit up All Nighter after this?”

Silently, Paxton tacks on ‘my treat for putting up with me’.

"Then it looks like we both needed this," Esme said with a grin, she was glad she said yes to a little trip out with Christina, even if it's a small one. "Okay, because I will throw punches at someone. I took kickboxing."

Christina laughs. "You know I've been doing the same thing, I've needed a night out or even a weekend away. I feel a little sad I mainly wait around for Colton to come home from Dallas' house." She admits as she moves to grab the door handle, nodding her head. "I think we both need to hold each other accountable of getting out of the house more." She turns her head to look over at Esme, nodding her head with a smile curving her features. "I'm doing really good, promise."

What did she look for in someone, that was a good question, her track record was all over the place between nerdy to bad boy types. "I think I would have to say...they have to have a good sense of humor, perks if it's a dark sense of humor. Another would probably be...god i know I will sound vain if I say this but, they have to be attractive. Being bisexual, you'd think I'd have best of both worlds when really, I'm all by myself." She cracked the small joke, chuckling to herself.

perhaps not in her current position in life she wouldn't draw similarity, but at one point evelyn did understand what esme was describing. being with someone hoping that time apart or whatever else was needed would mend the issue but it would often end with heartbreak. "yeah, it's uncomfortable talking about it but you know what you want. consider them non-negotionables, right? whether it is the ex or someone new, don't settle." evie smiled softly in her friend's direction, grateful to be back home being able to quality time with people like esme.

"what do you look for in someone? i could keep my eyes and ears open in case i spy a qualifying contender," she smirked.

"So it's not just me who thought that was wild." Esme laughs, "Dry wine shouldn't even be created, whoever said yeah this will taste amazing needs to be entered in the psych ward."

"Exactly! Oh my, how can you enjoy a drink that makes you feel like you aren't drinking anything but still feels like alcohol? I've never been so confused as the first time I tried a dry wine."

"I'm always up for listening to new music," Esme agreed, "as long it's not screamo then maybe, just maybe I'll allow you to show me some new music." She gaped at him and laughed, "If you record me rapping, I will just say I don't know who that is."

"Well, I feel like I need to start introducing you to some far more interesting music and let you get a feel for it." He suggested, far be it for him to not at least let someone hear music before making up their mind, and if he had the chance he would do the same. "If you start rapping I'm going to record it for when you're sober."

"That's a tough choice, I think I would have to say...when I was eight, innocent and naive, my parents took me and my sister out to the beach. It was a simple outing before I grew to despise my sister--well I wouldn't say despise, more like envious of how everything seemed to fall into her hands. Anyways, my mom for once wasn't comparing us and just acted like an actual mother would, it was a happy time before well...today."
