You don’t have to write some genre-redefining masterpiece. You can write a story about two people very simply falling in love. You can just write a story about a person going to the store. You could, if you were so inclined, just re-write Star Wars but like, make all the names start with M.
Don’t let the fear of not-writing something transcendent stop you from just writing.

Author’s Note: This was requested by the lovely @quietly-scrolling-through. And a big thank you to my friend @grunid for the amazing moodboard! I’m so in love with it!
Water mixed with dried blood was running down Kíli’s scarred chest while you carefully dabbed his wound with a warm, wet cloth. As the brownish liquid stained his skin, you thought that it would take longer than you had thought before you could wrap him in fresh bandages.
“Does it hurt?” you asked quietly, rinsing the now-dirty cloth. The water looked filthy already, but it was getting much worse each time you plunged the cloth into it. When you looked back up at Kíli, you were surprised to see a sly grin on his face.
“Compared to the day I had a blade piercing through my body?” he bit his bottom lip and scratched his chin, pretending to be thinking about it. “I would say it is bearable.”
