I know why y'all are thinking mutant pug seeing that last dog but what I see is a slightly more lanky, short haired Brussels Griffon. They're pretty rare but they have basically a pug face on a reasonably shaped small terrier body.

I used to be (online) friends with a breeder of those little guys which explains why I know they exist, but I don't think it's too far fetched to think one intact individual made mutt babies somewhere.

Also, can we please stop with the DNA testing of mutts?

It's been repeatedly proven that it's useless because as soon as you mix breeds you get far more variety than just carbon copies of the parents.

The only reason anyone offers those ou'd because they aren't making enough money on purebred tests and are trying to convince everyone and their mother to test their dogs for no reason.

Valid reasons to DNA test your dog: health checks. A must if you plan to breed, important if you own an at-risk breed pet. May or may not be effective on mixes because a lot of DNA markers differ between breeds.

What is the weirdest dog mix you have seen like the dog looks kinda uncanny or it doesn't make sense because for me so far it's been a chihuahua Italian greyhound mix and a chihuahua pitbull mix

One of my coworkers had a dog that is a shar-pei mix who they kept because of his absolute *enormous* head. He’s… Shar-Pei, boxer, American Staffordshire terrier, border collie, Lhasa apso and those are the breeds the dna test could find.

The lhasa apso, shar-pei, and border collie won the external looks contest. Make of that what you will.

There have been quite a few cases of doberman ears being naturally erect. There are pictures. 

Meanwhile, I’ve never been able to find proof of a doberman whose ears were uncropped but posted.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a dobe with erect ears that haven’t been cropped. At first I thought it was natural prick ears but the more I looked the more the set of the ears threw me off! They’re set so low, little dude reminds me of a deer. There’s also some light coloration on the back of the ears at the base, I’m not sure what that would be from. It’s very light, not the same as the tan point.

What do you guys think? Were they posted and not cropped, or are they natural? The very first time I saw him from afar and just thought his ears were croped but hadn’t been posted long enough and so they flopped easily and swayed to the sides. @doberbutts @spanishmal

You’re not, there is a chance this is something that could turn serious if not treated. With quick reaction and diagnosis though I’m quite sure you’re safe whatever this turns out to be, so goo job on that! ;) Hope all goes well for you both <3 

OK OK so I noticed dried blood on ruby’s vulva Thursday night. So I’m like ok she’s going into heat right? But I think it’s weird bc her vulva isn’t swollen at all or whatever Little bit of blood the next day This morning there’s just a little tiny bit of… Like this almost yellowish discharge She’s acting fine, eating drinking playing blah blah. Her normal self

I’m not overreacting in taking her to the vet though am I?? 👀

Cuddling yesterday. I still can’t get over how snuggly he is, whenever we’re on the same level he has to put his head on me one way or another, and when I’m in a chair he’s at my feet :) Of course we're talking about when he feels like laying down, cause otherwise he's out and about, getting into trouble like nobody's business ;)

Btw, in those pics with Axel and Manji snuggling, have you guys noticed just how crazy the size difference is? By crazy I mean at the same time Manji is barely bigger than Axel's head and neck, and there is hardly any difference between their paws :D I could genuinely see someone not knowing which paw is whose when they're tangled up like this xD

Update: Axel has started to growl at puppy, which means he's accepted him as his responsibility :D Usually when puppies get in his face too much he just moves away and leaves me to deal with the problem xP But now he's started to gently reprimand the puppy and tell him off, thus assuming full uncle duty :D He's doing wonderful and is quick to reward any improvement in behavior with play. I love him so much

If you had any doubts about doberman intelligence. ..

So Axel loves puppies. He really does. But he's also pretty old and complete babies have a bit much energy as far as he's concerned, so he prefers older pups. He does love Manji from the moment they met. He cares for the kid. But he also was of the opinion that since I'm the one who wanted a puppy, I'm the one who has to do all the work until Manji is old and smart enough to be a worthy play buddy for my older gentleman. As such, so far Axel has been firmly refusing to play with Manji, knowing that as soon as he encourages him he'll have no peace. He did allow the baby to play with his collar and heart (his metal heart pendant that he got from me) but as soon as Manji got too eager he'd move away and give me that "it's YOUR job" look. Until just half an hour ago when me and Manji came in (the dogs are still partially separated to allow them to get used to each other without pressure as well as because I can't supervise their interactions when I'm working). Axel jumped at the opportunity to catch up on snuggles and jumped on my chest, immobilizing me like he always does. And then he did his usual clumsy thing and put his finger in my eye (his paw pad scratched the surface of my eye, it still hurts) He moved away noticing his mistake, but the damage was done and I was in pain, eye tearing up uncontrollably. To make it worse Manji was being super playful and I was just not able to keep up with him at the moment. Without my supervision he was inches from getting in trouble with Mari. What did my Prince do? He stepped up to fill in for his miss! :) He made sure the puppy was well taken care of and away from trouble, and played with him like the wonderful uncle he is. Now Manji is down, napping after a play session, and my darling friend is napping in my lap, still a bit apologetic about the incident ^^'
