I've said it before, but I reread Emma, so I'm saying it again.
George Knightley is THE Austen Hero. He is kind, compassionate, never condescends. He is so nice that not once, but TWICE, he is mistaken for being in love when he's not. He may be strict and rational, but he isn't cold. He plays with his nieces and nephews and helps keep the peace between family members. He calls Emma out, but only because he wants to help her be the best possible version of herself. He moves into Hartfield at the end, something completely unheard of in those days, because he knows Emma would never leave her father and he would never ask her to.
He is just. The Peak.

the least i can do is provide another Strictly Confidential Chapter 7 snippet:
âWhat part of this weekend struck you as âprofessional?ââ Rhys asked, turning to face her, the heat behind his violet eyes sending a wave of awareness over Feyreâs body.
None of it, she thought. Absolutely none of it. Not the part where Rhysand had found her tipsy in the airport, or the part where she had fallen asleep with her head on his shoulder, or when she had lain next to him in a dark hotel room.
Rhysâs eyes still hadnât left her face.
Feyre cleared her throat. âUmââ
At her hesitation, a look of triumph swept over Rhysâs features. âSo you concede.â
Feyre rolled her eyes, the tension breaking. âI will concede that this weekend hasnât been the pinnacle of professionalism.â
âThank you, Counsel. I accept your concession and will write up a stipulation directly,â Rhys said, extending a hand, which Feyre shook, his palm engulfing hers.

the "came back wrong" trope except like... they didnt. like this mad scientists wife died, and so he studied necromancy, brought her back, and she came back and it all worked. like she came back exactly the same as she was before with literally no difference. but the scientist guy is like "oh no... what have i done.... shes Different now!!!! she came back Wrong!!!!" and shes just like. chilling. reading a book. cooking dinner. shes just so so normal but in the guys mind hes like "oh shes soooo weird" but shes just normal

I waited for you at breakfast, but you slept in. Or avoided me, apparently. And I tried to catch your eye this afternoon, but you were so good at shutting me out completely.â
âIs that what got under your skin? That I shut you out, or that it was so easy for Tarquin to get in?â
âWhat got under my skin,â Rhys said, his breathing a bit uneven, âis that you smiled at him.â

i hate when people are like âfeyre is a bad artistâ !!!!
i hate it. such a bad take. everyone who sees her paintings are amazed, the ones she gives to her friends and family for solstice make them cry!!! i donât understand the joy some people in the fandom feel while they belittle feyre.
she is powerful and strong and her kindness and creativity is part of that strength and what makes her amazing.
none of those people also are like âhaha aelin probably isnât even good at playing musicâ because itâs just unnecessary.
it feels, icky.
anyways, another day, another acotar rant because i donât think many people have media literacy.

Strictly Confidential snippet:
âMorning,â Feyre muttered, rubbing her eyes.
âItâs well past noon, but good morning to you too,â Rhys said wryly.
âI didnât say âgood,ââ Feyre grumbled, squinting at him through the light leaking through the curtains. It was positively unfair that Rhys looked soâŚ. so Rhys after a day of travel and a midday nap.
âAhhh,â Rhys said, leaning against the dresser across from the bed. âSomeone isnât a morning person.â
Feyre scowled up at him, folding her arms across her chest, suddenly very aware of her lack of a bra. âYou just said itâs not the morning.â
âAnd apparently, very contrary upon gracing the world with her consciousness.â
Rhys smirked, and Feyreâs frown deepened as she seized Rhysâs pillow and chucked it at him.
