one thing i never get tired of in songs is when they include some sounds from the recording booth like a laugh at the end, a ‘was that good?’ or like, the sounds of the guitar being put down, a chair creaking. it’s nice how music can be used as an escape but also something that ties you right back down to earth. it will affect you so deeply & then ur like wow… you just played that. it’s grounding & magical & just one of my fave things ever!

I don’t think anyone actually knows the severity about the current Rafah bombing. 1.5MILLION displaced Palestinians are residing there. The idf was always said to be a “safe zone” and that everyone should evacuate there. This is not coincidental, they purposely cornered displaced Palestinians as far south as they could. If you look at a map of Gaza you’ll see that Rafah is the furthest you can go. There’s NO WHERE ELSE TO EVACUATE!! The Palestinians only have two options, flee to Egypt or die from air strikes. The idf did this on purpose. They plan to either kill all Palestinians or drive all of them to Egypt. ALL EYES ON RAFAH!! ALL EYES ON GAZA!!

job hunting can be exhausting and absolutely unmotivating. i spent 6-7 months applying to anything remotely related to my field before landing on this company so hang in there, it’ll come eventually!

i’m always making up scenarios in my head, it’s been like that since i was little. i once read about something called maladaptive daydreaming and while i wouldn’t say i suffer from that (because i think it’s supposed to affect your daily life in a negative way, idk, i’m no therapist), i do daydream a lot. i’ve got specific scenarios that play in my head while listening to certain songs, for example. music and the media i consume inspire me but i wouldn’t say i base my works around them. they just… set the mood? i think? i really don’t know how to explain it. the idea simply comes to me.

i think the only time i’ve ever used a real life experience was on love me now’s chapter 9, which happened to my best friend and his flatmate. it didn’t end with them having sex, of course. it would’ve been weird writing about that.

The way they're acting like "ceasefire" means "go blow yourselves up" is just. A ceasefire is nothing. It's less than the bare minimum. It's not "rebuild what you destroyed." It's not "pay the victims remaining of the families you killed." It's not "rehabilitate Gaza." It's not any of the demands that could be made in this situation. It's just... Stop. Stop killing them. And even that is treated like it's so fucking extreme and if you call for it you must want Jews to die. Politicians with an agenda can really demonize anything.

You might have recently heard about or seen the video of Israel blowing up a university in Gaza. It's also been reported that before Israel blew it up, it stole thousands of rare artifacts from the university's museum. Israel also reportedly stole a statue of the Canaanite goddess Anat from the Pasha's Palace Museum in Gaza after it destroyed it. This is not the first time and will not be the last. Israel's destruction of Palestinian heritage and history is well-documented and part of a systematic process to erase Palestinian connection to the land.
