A perfect shot

After seven years of trying amateur photographer and avid stormchaser Greg McCown caught the moment of his dreams on film, a perfectly timed flash of earthing electricity plummeting from sky to Earth with a beautifully formed rainbow by refracting sunlight in the water droplets in the air in the background. He caught the last bolt before the storm petered out after seeking a spot without telephone poles or other signs of humanity in the foreground. Without the work of people like these we would have little to hang our writing on, since the joy of combining beautiful imagery with educational info makes for a perfect combo. We say it every now and again, all thanks to the great photographers out there.

NO OTHER PLANET IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM GETS TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSES!! THE SIZE AND DISTANCE OF OUR MOON FROM EARTH AND THE SUN MAKE THE PERFECT CIRCUMSTANCES TO GET TOTALITY!!! THE EARTH AND MOON ARE SOOOO COOL AND OF COURSE OUR SUN!! I LOVE LIVING ON EARTH I LOVE YOU EARTH I LOVE YOUUUUU MOON I LOVE YOU SUN
