this year aged me by an extra 20 years and everything feels so warped and alien to me now, but it's empowering in a strange way. maybe there will come a day where i feel like delving into it further, but for now it's all very private. grief is personal and different to each individual, i couldn't expect anybody to grasp my particular experience, how i perceived it and how i go about treating the trauma. at the end of the day, it's like a little secret that i get to carry around with me as a technique to keep me grounded when i get carried away with things. i feel a separation from the people around me now though, like im an outcast because they can't and probably never will understand what it's like to lose a parent so young, and then to lose someone you considered a best friend at one point just two months later just changes everything. it's exaggerated the taboo fact of life in my mind, that everything is so fragile and impermanent. i don't wish for people to understand, it's probably better for them to go through their 20s more carefree and slightly irresponsible, let them be crazy if that's what they need. but it's sad when you realise you're slowly breaking away from what and who you knew because their ignorance is so blinding, they don't realise how quickly this is all going to get snapped away from them.

So weird to read this now that's he's no longer with us anymore. How things change in the blink of an eye..
I forget that people have ideas of what is considered a normal time to drink alcoholic beverages. Apparently it was weird for Cam and I to grab a couple of pints at 9:30AM after finding out our lesson had been cancelled. It sort of just felt like the only normal thing to do at the time ???
