ok i wanna talk about this scene and not just bc it’s The Sunset Scene
so when lance first gets there he says “you can be a real hard guy to find when you wanna be” which implies that lance was looking for keith
he was looking for keith bc keith is the one he goes to when he needs encouragement, someone to make him feel more like himself again
keith definitely heard lance climbing up to where he was sitting (i mean lance is wearing metal pots and pans that’s definitely going to make noise) but he’s staring at the sunset until lance actually talks to him
he knew it was lance and left his guard completely down
