'Lost and Found' is a collaborative Dream Room creation based on a design by Freya Cairns Edgson. It was created by the Wymondham High Academy Junior Art Club alongside illustrator and art technician, Emma Traynor and artist educator, Rach Anstey-Sanders.
The art club students are: Freya Cairns Edgson, Lane Yeates, Alice Dove, Madeline Baldwin, Eden Hill, Ola Jonczyk, Freya Boden, Imogen Brown, Scarlett Reeve and Jade Barker.
"Freya's 'Lost and Found' concept was inspired by the eclectic mix of found objects and ornaments on the window sills in the art classrooms that we use for observational drawing tasks"
"We decided that, as far as possible, we would use found objects to create the room, and we decided on three words to encapsulate the concept and aid coherency as we worked together: Quirky; Complex; Adventurous"
"Inspiration came from researching artist studios, in particular the work places of Lichtenstein, Matisse, Moore and Miro. We also looked at the use of found objects in the A La Ronde National Trust property in Devon.
Thank you to Norwich Castle for the photos of our Dream Room and from the Private View evening!
Art Club featured again in the Spring issue of the School Magazine.
