Last night I dreamt that there were 11 girl, instead of 10, that I was making prom dresses for, and I had completely forgot 1 of them, yikes!

Mai Pa's prom dress has an 8 yard sweep. The silk shantung skirt of the dress gets a hand seen hem with a bright satin back turquoise organza and horsehair binding!

Putting on a fashion show takes a village! We've got great partners involved and I'll be sharing them here over the next few weeks. Davee Ek will be styling the prom girls the day of the event as well as my FW2014 collection. So excited to have her as part of the project!

Bodice for Faith in progress. The sheer silk organza back will get metal boning. The front will get a smattering of crystals!

So excited that Sarah Edwards (I AM MINNEAPOLIS & I AM KINDNESS) will be producing the fashion show for this collection. It's a perfect match!

From a fitting with Karrina at the Jerry Gamble B&G Club. Going with a dramatic dress with ribbon strips of silk organza in three shades of purple. Includes one of the collection's core colors, Lilac Snow.

Finished the mock-up fittings with Faith, Jalayna, and Kayla at Patrick Henry Beacon Boys & Girls Club! Now onto the actual dresses!
