STELLE HEADCANON: CREATION.

WARNING: MAJOR HSR STORY LEAKS (most likely for 1.2) under cut regarding kafka & the trailblazer! if you're avoiding leaks then this is your warning!!

sooo.... they leaked the truth & lie conversation between the trailblazer and kafka recently! the document linked shows both answers that she mightt potentially give you, one being a lie and one being true. however, it does not specify which ones are real and which ones are not. this post is basically me saying which parts of this convo i'm taking as the truth until otherwise stated since it fits the best in the narrative & direction that i'm personally taking stelle.

plus, this will be referenced later in a headcanon i'll eventually write about hi3 lore & my stelle because my wife has made some phenomenal connections while we've been easing into that game's content.

KAFKA: My first question is... what do you think about me? STELLE: ( How should I answer? If I tell the truth, I have to lie the next time, and vice versa. Or I could just cheat... Is that really an option? ) > Tell the truth. ( Better to tell it like it is... ) STELLE: I like you.

STELLE: > Ask about myself. KAFKA: You are an artificial body created for the purpose of hosting a Stellaron. From the moment of your birth, it was your destiny to receive the Stellaron at Herta Space Station. Before that task was complete, I was responsible for protecting you, as well as teaching you general knowledge, common sense, and combat skills. STELLE: How am I able to host a Stellaron? KAFKA: The Stellaron in question was modified. After seizing it, Herta conducted a lot of research — it's the only Stellaron in the universe that doesn't contaminate humans. KAFKA: As soon as Herta got bored, she forgot about the whole thing, but all her research was recorded in Screwllum's database. Silver Wolf retrieved it when she hacked into Planet Screwllum… KAFKA: …and so Elio saw a new future possibility. KAFKA: Because you were created for that purpose — your body has been transformed by the power of an Aeon. You are immune to Stellaron contamination. KAFKA: Therefore, you could say that you are a one-of-a-kind Stellaron vessel.

KAFKA: One day, Elio handed you over to me. He said that if things continued to transpire according to the future possibility he foresaw, you would eventually change me, and I would change you. KAFKA: In other words, you and I are each other's destiny.

the cold that enveloped jarilo-vi was unlike anything she had ever experienced.  even for an amicassador,  tingyun was remarkably well traveled.  within her sixteen expeditions she had seen a variety of weather conditions.  some planets were similar to the xianzhou in how the seasons would change over time,  while others had conditions that were borderline unliveable for a foxian such as herself.  she always thought of the bitterwater confederacy from years past—  her composure was ever unwavering,  but even she was concerned about being submerged in water for as long as she had been during that trade mission. 

jarilo-vi,  on the other hand,  was not an vast ocean but rather a frigid tundra.  the scholars of xianzhou had no information on the planet aside from the fact that its stellaron problem had been resolved shortly before their own.  one could imagine her surprise when she found out that the ice cube floating in space was where she was meant to land and negotiate commerce.  at the very least,  it was some relief to know that the center of the world had an extensive heating system to keep the city of belobog habitable.  

even with these heaters,  it was much too cold for her!  not only that,  she was meant to stay for a few months.  tingyun was well aware that setting up intergalactic imports on a planet for the very first time was a lengthy task.  she was grateful to be invited into their city as an outsider in the first place—  the honored guest treatment was always a pleasant surprise.  it was just  ...  sometimes she swore she could still see her breath even within the comfort of the goethe hotel.  alas,  there was nothing she could do.  she wouldn't dare complain aloud about something so uncontrollable.

however,  when the personal heater breaks  ...  well,  she was well within her right to request assistance!  her luck could be so unfortunate at times.  her pleas were answered with haste,  thankfully,  and within twenty minutes she would be startled by a knock on the door.  a quick peak into the vanity ensured that she was presentable enough to greet the mechanic.  tingyun opened the door slowly and flashed the stranger a sweet smile,  a polite habit that came with her line of work.

the surprise that overtook her at the sight of serval did not show on her face.  the only notable change was the way her ears tilted back.  the merchant tilted her head at the way she oddly leaned against her doorframe.  how did she keep running into this woman?  she already saw her once today in passing,  and now she was here?  ever since the night they met,  this woman was completely unavoidable.  a glance down towards the toolbox in her limp arm led her to believe that she was the repairman she was waiting on.  of course she is.

"  hey,  uh.  so  ...  "  serval began,  her voice breathy and awkward.  she wondered if she rushed to get here.  a nervous little laugh came before she continued.  "  i heard your heater broke.  i can fix that.  that's why i'm here.  fixing stuff.  i'm pretty good at it.  "

the silence was painfully embarrassing.  tingyun's countenance broke thereafter with a laugh.  she couldn't help it,  this scenario was ridiculous.  she wasn't even the one avoiding  her!  serval was the one acting like a scared street cat everytime she was nearby.  she took a step back and gestured to her room,  wordlessly allowing her in as she recovered from her giggling fit.  

"  miss landau,  are you the only person qualified to fix these?  i can not say i was expecting you at my door again.  "  she replied,  her voice soft and subtly poking fun.  serval had rushed her way into the hotel room and was now standing stiffly by the heater.  tingyun made her way around to the bed and sat across from her, leaning forward to watch her work.  "  if i knew it'd be this awkward,  i wouldn't have invited you up here last time.  i don't want belobog's only mechanic to be mad at me.  "

it seemed that her jests brought some relief to her companion.  serval laughed in response,  her shoulders settling back to its relaxed posture.  blonde bangs brushed to the side as she ran her hand over her forehead.  "  nah,  i don't hate you!  i just didn't know what to say after  ...  that.  "

"  ' hello, how are you? '  would be a great start.  "  she replied.  "  that's how i usually start conversations.  "

"  ohh,  right.  my bad.  "   serval shifted on her spot on the floor to face her.  both hands pointed towards her in a way that resembled a pair of pistols.  "  what's up?  "

tingyun cradled her mouth with her hand in an attempt to stifle another laugh.  how ridiculous.

STELLE HEADCANON: EFFECTS OF THE STELLARON.

here's a quick roundup of headcanons on how the stellaron that was put into stelle affects her physically, mentally, & otherwise.

throughout the game, a constant issue that the player character (who will be referred to as stelle from here on out) is consistently mentioning or experiencing is headaches. there are often options to say that your head hurts and in uncontrollable dialogue & flavor text its alluded to often enough that i'm going to attribute it towards a physical side effect of the stellaron. stelle has learned to ignore it for the most part but the stronger the stellaron's influence becomes, the worse her headache becomes. this happens regularly in battle because the bulk of her power is from said stellaron, but is overridden by adrenaline. these headaches can make it difficult to sleep and think straight. although her personality is a large factor as to why she's constantly zoning out/not paying attention, the physical effects of her condition do NOT help.

another physical effect is lack of energy. stelle is often very lethargic and ready to (try to) go to sleep. as mentioned above, this is overridden often by adrenaline but it is not uncommon for her to start dozing off wh en there isn't much action going on. the specific reasoning for this is unknown, but i imagine it'd be extremely exhausting to have something like this in you at all times.

this one's just straight up canon: stelle regularly has premonitions of future events and flashbacks of past events that she had no part of. she's like the world's worst prophet. i write her as consistently saying weird, out of context things and part of why i lean so heavily on it is to make it difficult to tell if she's actually saying something important or if it's just nonsense. she herself is not aware of if what she's saying is true or not. her most vivid experiences are when she's asleep- this girl has not known a peaceful night of sleep. her dreams are consistently vivid and surreal and while they are not always prophetic, they often are. especially when she's near another stellaron that would correspond with her own.

much of stelle's odd mannerisms and "delusions" (the twins at the end of the goethe hotel hallway, the smiling man at the alley by the theatre, etc…) can also be attributed to the stellaron's influence. i'm still going back and forth on this, but im thinking that a lot of the weirder inner monologuing that goes into the poetic & overly detailed territory is from its influence as well. it may even be a voice in her head, but i'm not going to go too far into that in case we find out otherwise.

this is a smaller thing, but i imagine stelle has a lot of dumb luck that may have something to do with the stellaron. it evidently gives her premonitions and flashbacks and all of that oracle type nonsense so… it would make sense that it helps with her intuition as well.

obligatory mention: i don't think the stellaron will let stelle truly die unless something interferes or it's power wanes. in the beginning of the game when she shields march, i know that welt helps her but it's said consistently that nobody knows exactly what stellarons are or what they do. they just know that they are extremely powerful, (usually) catastrophic entities. all three of the one's we have seen so far (stelle's, jarilo-vi's, xianzhou) have been extremely different from one another. while they paint it as welt was the one who helped stelle survive, later we see stelle brings herself back to life when she's skewered by cocolia. the way that i'm interpreting it as of now is that welt stabilized her, especially since she had just recently gotten the stellaron put into her at this point. side tangent: i expect that the end of xianzhou we will see the cycle continue of stelle dying and bringing herself back to life so that she can harness another aeon's power, but i am also extremely interested in seeing welt's role in this since he had a major role in stelle's first death.

STEP BACK. usually, you're able to bottle up your emotions and ignore the frustrations. but, after weeks of shoving everything down, your body needs a release, and i pity the poor person who managed to piss you off. it's screaming crying, shouting, kicking lockers, whatever you can do to get it out of your system. it's a whole jean grey moment, fire and fury blasting out of you.

i have many thoughts in general but this tidbit from tingyun's voice lines is one of the things i wanna elaborate some more on at some point...
