Elizabeth "Ellie" Wiseman
She's the optimist with a heart of gold who harbors immense guilt for being so helpless, relying on her big brother and best friend for safety. Despite this, and her Polard Zero, Ellie is determined to prove she is enough to the world and maybe even, really, to herself.
Nicholas "Saint Nick" is her hero. She doesn't know where she'd be without him. Salomé Alavidze is her best friend and confidante, the only person to make her feel needed outside of her family.
Ellie is also totally and utterly smitten by her big brother's best friend. Sure, she'd never confess to him and she's a terrible flirt (she blushes too fiercely at even the hint of innuendo), but Ellie holds out hope that maybe Grayson Black feels the same. He's also dreadfully fun to tease about his rather concerning cookie addiction.
