Quick PSA, if you get one of those "Work scanned, AI use detected" comments on AO3, just mark them as spam.

Some moron apparently built a bot to annoy or prank hundreds of authors.

There is no scanning process, your work doesn't actually resemble AI writing, it's all bullshit. Mark the comment as spam (on AO3, not the email notification you got about the comment!) and don't let it get to you.

Ppl: “Glaze and nightshade all your art!!”

Also ppl: * does not mention that you need to have a fucking NVIDIA GPU and running nightshade on one image takes at best 20 minutes*

Like the online version of glaze/nightshade requires an account. And last time i checked they arent accepting new accounts because of the high pressure.

Like i make my art on my ipad. My MacBook is from 2014. If i tried to download and run nightshade on my decade old macbook and go throufg 10+ years of artworks i might as well just set it on fire.

I didn't have the option through mobile but if you go through your desktop settings, under visibility there is a toggle to switch so your work is not used in training AI, it's off by default (go figure lol)

i know that some folks love telling creative people that “you should be doing it for fun because you love it not for the compliments” but creative people thrive on feedback whether it’s critical or just complimentary

so when i write fanfiction and don’t get any actual feedback i feel like i spent all that time and energy doing it for nothing because i’m not getting feedback from the people i wrote it for

doing something you’re proud of and then presenting it to the sound of utter silence is like the worst feeling on earth

Some character design studies.

I‘m currently into my oldest story and its characters for a redesign. So… this is one of my very first characters. Hopefully I can show you more of this story soon, but haven’t decided in which media I want to publish it. (Writing? Light Novel with drawings? Webtoon? Manga?)

Josh is 22 years old. He’s a light-footed fighter and so the first idea seemed not the right choice. Also I had the feeling to have seen it before. So I decided to try again and am more satisfied with the second try!

I‘ll talk more about him and his comrades later.

But I made a blog some time ago for their story where I want to post about their story. It hasn’t any content yet but when I got it set up I’ll share the link. 😌

fun fact!! it turns out that now when u make a new blog, tumblr forces you to follow 3-4 people before you can change your icon or modify your blog in any way!! this, of course, means that, yes, some of the "potential bots" many of us have been automatically blocking could have possibly been genuine new users who were only just seconds in to having an account!!! tumblr is literally screwing new users over!!!!
