Hm! This one seemed to be quite curt! That was okay though, maybe she was busy and was doing the smart thing of not talking to a stranger. "Oh, okay then." Rem looked a little sad, but then started rummaging through her bag, pulling out a nice red apple and reaching it out to the strange girl. "Would you like an apple though?"
Old hag || eldritchplantmom:
Oh? Now who was this? This little one wasn’t playing with the other children in the market, and seemed to just be staring at anybody that came by. To some it would just seem weird and uncanny, but to Rem it made her curious.
Walking up to the child, Rem knelt down, offering the kid a warm smile. “Hello! Can I ask you how you’re doing? If you’re lost?”
All she does is stare directly at Rem, with no emotion on her little face. This one seemed familiar to the robot, but not in an overly good way. She remembered her father, and even her uncle, speak about a human woman like this, but while one’s accounts were full of resentment, the other’s were nothing but praise.
Luckily for Tima, she trusted one more than the other, and thus, her feelings towards this stranger reflected that “I don’t need your help.” the words are bitter and scornful, of a little creature too distrustful of the ones who made her.

She’s just standing there, menacingly.

"Of course I do!" She replied a bit too fast, like the way a mother snaps at their child only because they are extremely releived to have found them after they got lost. "What would ever make you think that I didn't?" A weighted question, even for those days back on the ship, and at the thought of how she might have hurt him, she immediately eased off. "I'm... sorry..."
After another long pause, her face raises from Knives' tear blotted chest, a sudden rictous of fear on her face as she looks in the space around them. "... Knives? Where's Vash?"
𝐑𝐄𝐌 …
A tender, trembling shiver of a sigh left her as tears began to well up in her eyes and she bit her lip to keep from letting them spill. After a long moment, she took a few more steps towards him, growing in conviction with each stride until she was almost running up to Knives, and wrapping her arms around him in the strongest hug she could give. He was real. She squeezed her son close as she could to him, afraid he might float away if she let up, arms trembling.
“It’s been so long… I’m so releived you survived…”
He gasped - it’s been so long since he’s had a hug. In fact, she was literally the last person to hug him. So, it felt both familiar, & strange. His body stiffens, & he doesn’t know how to react. But with the strength in the embrace… she had to be real, she had to be. Knives doesn’t even know how to properly react.
“ Do you love me… ? ” He doesn’t know why that came out. It just did.

Whither or not this was a dream, she was there. One hundred years and she looked exactly like she did last, even up to the space suit she adorned upon her departure. Well, maybe a bit shorter, but thats likely due to how much Knives himself grew up.
Her face was a mask of shock and consternation, mirroring the one that Knives had. This didn’t feel real… seeing her boy all grown up. She didn’t think she would ever be able to see her boys grow up, after she left them to the escape craft. A few cautious steps closer were taken, as if she were afraid to break some kind of veil. “Knives…. is that you? Is it truly and really you…?”
He just cannot believe it. He doesn’t know how to react. Should he feel annoyed, irate, depressed, or relieved that she’s alive ? She had the same appearance. Which made him wonder if this was a dream after all. Knives had killed her back then, this should be easy. Yet, facing her now… ? The ease had disappeared. He didn’t know what to say - was it guilt he’s feeling ? For now, he’ll just play along - until he figured out his emotions.
“ … it’s me, ” he answered. “ It’s been… years since we’ve last seen each other, ” over a century, that was.

@eldritchplantmom ASKED :
“… knives?”
He… didn’t know what to say. For once, he found himself speechless. She died, didn’t she ? Or… is this a dream ? It had to be a dream. She died over a hundred years ago.
“ … what ? ” is all he could say, just to see what she had to say next.
