Late Night Treats

Hazbin Hotel x Reader (platonic)
You heard the familiar sounds of clicking footsteps as you pulled out a tray of freshly baked cookies.
“Isn’t it a little too late to be baking?” asked Angel.
You hummed in response and placed it on the counter to cool down. You tugged the oven mitts off your hands. You leaned your back against the counter.
“You came back rather late," you replied.
Angel nodded and walked towards the cookies. You gently slapped his hands away from the tray. “You’re gonna burn yourself. Wait until the cookies cool off."
He frowned at you with heavy bags under his eyes. “But I’m hungry and I had a long ass shift. Val worked me overtime as punishment from the bar,” whined the spider.
You sighed in response. “One of these days I’m gonna jump him,” you warned. Angel snorted.
“Just by yourself?”
“Nah, I think Husk and Pentious would join me,” you conceded.
“It’s cute you think you can take down an Overlord.”
You shrugged. “Anything’s possible in this shithole we live in.”
You moved the cookies onto a plate and stacked them on top of each other. Angel quickly snatched one when you weren’t paying attention. He happily munched on his stolen treat as you nibbled on your own cookie.
You nudged the spider with your elbow. “You should go to sleep.” He looked at you quizzically.
“Says the one who was caught baking before the sun’s even out,” teased Angel.
“I’m sure Nuggets wants to see his dad,” you retorted.
He opened his mouth to argue, but no words left his lips. “I will if you explain why you’re up so damn late.” He crossed his arms.
You pressed your lips together before you threw out the baking sheet and moved the tray into the sink. You pulled out a plastic wrap and rolled it over the plate to keep the treats fresh.
You drew in a deep breath and turned to face Angel. “Just a rough night, I suppose. I needed a distraction, so cookies were a solution.”
“Well, you have a better way to cope than most of Hell’s sinners,” commented Angel. He stretched his arms. He placed his hand on your shoulder and squeezed gently. The spider offered you a tired smile.
“Alright, I’m going to bed.”
You waved him off as he headed upstairs. He paused on the first step and turned his head.
“Just make sure you sleep soon, alright?”
Your eyes softened at his words. “Thanks, Dad,” you joked.
Angel flipped you off with a grin before he disappeared to his room.

Harmless Fun
This post is related to a previous one, but you don't have to read it to understand this drabble. Please let me know your thoughts‼️
Hazbin Hotel x Reader (platonic)
You passed the bar as Husk stared at a bottle in his hand. There were two googly eyes plastered to the glass. He let out a hiss and turned around to face you.
“Which one of you schmucks ruined my shit?” demanded Husk.
You held in a poorly stifled giggle and shrugged innocently. Nifty zipped in from the noise and examined the booze herself. She shook the bottle and watched as the eyes move side to side.
Husk caught your eye, glaring darkly at you. “You’re the only one here to pull this immature stunt!” he exclaimed.
You took a step back and held your hands out placatingly. “That’s not true. Angel might’ve done that.”
He growled and stomped towards you. You saw Charlie and Vaggie enter the room. You called out for the princess and quickly hid behind her.
“Husk is gonna kill me over false evidence!” you cried.
Said demon bared his sharp teeth, only a few inches from your princess shield. Vaggie glared at you in disapproval. Charlie smiled nervously at the demon.
“Hold on— what happened here?” asked Charlie.
Nifty appeared again and held the bottle towards her. Charlie did a better job to hold in a chuckle. “Husk thinks they ruined his alcohol,” said Nifty and gestured towards you.
She took the booze and easily peeled off the plastic eyes. “Problem solved, Husk!”
His sour expression didn’t change. “The little asshole stuck those things on my other bottles too,” he replied crossly.
Charlie turned her head towards you with a tired look. “Go remove the rest of them,” said the princess gently.
You balled your hands into fists. “But there’s no proof I—”
“Do what Charlie says,” warned Vaggie.
You wanted to argue, but you stomped to the bar instead, knowing you weren’t winning this fight. Husk smugly grinned as you walked away.
“Serves you right not to mess with my stuff.”
You glared at him and removed the eyes. “Since when is it a crime to have some harmless fun?”
“Oh, so you admit it!” cried Husk.
“Of course, old men like you hate practical jokes,” you murmured under your breath. Nifty reemerged and helped remove the googly eyes from the bottles.
Once you finished, you made your way to your bedroom. You were stopped in the hallway by Charlie. She approached you from behind with a gentle smile.
You crossed your arms. “I don’t want to hear a lecture about apologizing to Husk for what I did,” you huffed.
“No, I’m not gonna lecture you. I don’t think there was any foul in your prank,” said Charlie.
You arched your brow in response. “I don’t think Husk was the best person for your target though.”
You knew she had a point.
“Anyway, if you wanna pull a prank again, please run it by me. I don’t want my patrons to be attacking each other,” admitted Charlie.
You blinked before your lips cracked into a smile. Ideas began to spark in your mind. You walked down the hallway and headed towards your bedroom with newfound determination.

Imagine being the youngest patron in the Hazbin Hotel
I needed to get out my idea because the Hazbin Hotel fixation is starting. I have my issues with the show, but so far, I've enjoyed it! I'm considered the baby in my friend group, which stemmed these headcanons in the first place. Anyway, I let me know your thoughts about this post!
Hazbin Hotel x Reader (platonic)
You were banished to hell in somewhat recent years, so you’re considered the baby of the group. You’re not treated like a child, per se, but the guys frequently tease you about it. Husk calls you ‘kid’ to piss you off, as does Angel. You’re certain they only know you by that nickname and not your actual name.
No one understands the references you make, whether it be from a meme or films. You consider it really unfortunate when they look at you weird or if Charlie awkwardly laughs at your comment. Charlie humors you with your references, but she still doesn’t understand your slang.
You like to spread some harmless mischief in the hotel when you’re bored. You have added googly eyes to the booze in Husk’s bar, which he didn’t think was funny. At least Angel found it humorous and Charlie kept you from Husk’s wrath when he realized it was your doing.
You like to play with Keekee when you have time to spare. You balled up a piece of paper and throw it for her to chase. You made the poor choice of getting catnip for her. You didn’t think Husk would react to the plant as well. He threatened you to keep his secret. Because you value your limbs intact, you didn’t spread that information around.
You force the group for a movie night, which doesn’t involve sex-related films (much to Angel’s dismay). You pick out a movie you think mostly everyone will enjoy. Charlie and Nifty are usually the most excited to watch the one you picked. You find the film hard to enjoy because Angel and Pentious are relentlessly commenting about the scenes. No amount of shushing from Vaggie will stop their annoying chatter. There is a silver lining though because you watch movies with the girls every so often without their presence to ruin the film.

What are some rancher fics you enjoy?
(Old or new, whatever you fancy)
I answered this a few times both on this blog and my other one, so I'll try mentioning some more recent ones I've enjoyed as I hope everyone's read the classics like freckles, the highwayman, to hoe where none have hoene before, lay my curses down to rest, adaptive nature, wallflowers, and there's not a word yet, oops i named a bunch anyways, anyways...)
The canary of the black mines by norinenglish (oracledivin) is ongoing but so good so far and I think it got a new chapter just the other day (gen so far?, fantasy au, decked out, ongoing)
We never really learn by theirroyalhighness. Zombie apocalypse ranchers, basically everything I like (rom, zombie apocalypse au, 2 chapters, completed)
Love death + grumbot by sonofaraven is actually a grian and mumbo fic but it's a zombie apocalypse and it features ranchers for a couple chapters and is very cool (ambiguous, zombie apocalypse au, ongoing)
The bad boys reunion tour by notesofapple not enough has happened for me to know for sure but I like whats happened ao far and I am literaly vibrating with anticipation to find out what happened between the ranchers along with everything going on (post-ship?, gen, supernatural au, ongoing)
Bribery sealed with a kiss by whatcaniwriteinthis one of the many amazing secret life ranchers fics about ranchers being The Worst also I just love when new people are subjected to the ranchers (rom, secret life, oneshot)
Liquid luck by crazyfoxlady is very adorable and I always support shelby and tango fics (getting together, crossover, witch apprentice, oneshot)
Raising ravagers by druidqueen89 is tango centric not just ranchers but its a very cute story (gen, decked out, 4 chapters, completed)
Desert planet by skimmeh isn't just ranchers and again in ongoing but it's very good also has some of my favourite character designs to go alongside it (gen, scifi au, ongoing)
Just gold by ice_cold_orchid is about dragon tango and canary jimmy being buddies and its my favourite thing ever (gen, xeno-fantasy au, oneshot)
Ranchers parent-teacher au by inbetweenhoursglass is so far absolutely adorable (pre-ship so far, modern au, oneshots, maybe ongoing?)
it's only us (it's more than fate) by willswrite is a cute story about jimmy and tango getting stuck with each other on a vacation (rom, modern au, 3 chapters, completed)
Your perfect eyes, they're all I can see by solidaritek about tango finding out theyre soulmates all the way back in 3rd life (soulmates rom, context au, 12 chapters completed)
Oh also one course just like... all of rose_kitty's rancher aus... carrying the fic side of the rancher fandom on their back they are...

No but on a real note that was the exact reason I didn’t want to watch it, then I decided why not just watch the live action it’ll be less commitment y’know
But I loved it so much and I just had to see what else would happen (SEASON TWO OF THE LIVE ACTION IS CONFIRMED IN SO EXCITEDDDD)
So I got into the anime I’m only on the 31st episode in season one but what I’m really liking is the live action isn’t a carbon copy of what it covers from the anime
Of course it’s more dramatic considering it’s a live action with actual actors, but some parts of the story were actually changed to make an intriguing flow and storyline that I was instantly hooked onto
So when I started the anime it didn’t feel like I was just rewatching it, because some things were different and that really just left a pleasant itch in my brain
Oh that’s one of my tamer remarks about buggy, my tastes on him already got bullied in a discord server I’m in, so I’m electing to keep my remarks somewhat normal ☺️

(The bare bones basis was, her whole clan was slaughtered during the catalyst, either that or when the evolved from a bakaneko to a nekomata something went wrong thanks to all the abysal energy around at this time so they became heartless monsters who would terrorize and plunder mortals which is a big no no, so they had to be taken care of- she has major survivors guilt 🤯😭😭)
But then Kiara dropped and I was like dang it that just uprooted all lore I made for a creature like bakaneko/nekomata to exist in the genshin universe LMAO

What do you use, procreate? Ibis paint? If you do use procreate do you use any blending modes or gradient maps? Honestly I can’t tell, you seem to understand color theory almost instinctively lmao considering your palettes never clash (wish that were me Fr ☹️)
Also have you tinkered with the secular brush setttings or do you use something else that didn’t come originally

I’m tied between two things❕❕
The eyes and the coloring style(? Blending maybe a mishmash of both of those)
I’m not even talking about eye shape I’m talking about the way you stylize them(and your line work), like their never sharp and always come out looking soft (not a bad thing I quite like it)
The way you draw eyes makes it seem like the what’s the positive word for victim?? Mind is blanking but like uh Focus? Yeah focus will work. The focus of the piece always feels like they are almost in a dream like state, just generally relaxed.
You know when your tired and your face goes into a resting position, all the rigid lines of your features you had been subconsciously holding fade away when you feel relaxed, and most of your pieces reflect that.
Also the bottom lashes I feel you always tend to do three prominent lashes for the lower line, and just have a the upper lash consist of the hatch marks that made it up, instead of doing swoopy upper lashes. (Sorry if that doesn’t make sense stink stink 😰)
And your coloring KAJXIANAH I’ve said this once long ago but your coming is sooo dreamy and so aesthetically pleasing to the eye🤯🤯🤯
OH OH THE SOFTNESS
when I see your art I know it’s yours because of how soft it looks!! It just is the visual representation of the soft and calm feelings one would feel when the begin to sleep and when they wake up from a good dream

I would love to be good at understanding and enforcing meta, it’s just
So difficult to wrap my brain around, like I do better at more casual things, and what not. And I also avoid grinding because I get bored easily I guess?
Well I avoid grinding certain things,
grinding the perfect artifacts <<< grinding the entire belebog history museum in two hours (also that one genshin windblume event were you had to manage the stand, I enjoyed this specific event mechanic a lot lol)
I’ve been trying to watch guides online but meta still eludes me, one day I’ll get around to understanding the secrets behind big pp damage, that day however is Deffo not today ☹️
i hope that ill at least get to 120% crit dmg on blade jhfjghjfgk
